Interesting that they stated of non-human origin. Doesn't necessarily mean Extra-terrestrial. There could be other beings we still don't know about living on this planet at depths, or in areas we have yet to explore.
But without having the documents or photos - I understand why the other major news outlets aren't jumping on this.
Will be curious to see where this story goes in the coming years.

Like songs repeated on the radio by season, UFO news is also seasonal, usually springtime.

Newsnation? Um okay! I recently heard someone say if the government had evidence of aliens or flying saucers they'd show them to justify quadrupling the defense budget even more than it is. That there alone is proof the government has nuthin.
This seems pretty absurd. Craft from a number of species? In these times to think no one has released a cellphone picture or video of some of this material. I watched the recent presentation on NASA tv about UFO’s, so many pilots perceptions were wrong about the speed and distance of the objects.
Watch the video report on that page. Vargas is a serious news anchor, with serious journalists around her. The reporting is solid.
The officer's credentials check out, and this story is predicated on an institutional investigation of reprisal against a whistleblower who by new Federal law that got quietly passed (!) frees such people from confidentiality circumstances. Again, watch the video.
I see Grusch's story coincides conveniently with reporter Coulthart's updated new 2023 edition of his UFO book, "In Plain Sight".
For his 2024 edition, maybe Coulthart should ask his whistleblower to go and blow his whistle on the banks of Loch Ness and see if it attracts the monster. Then maybe they can learn if Nessie really came from Mars or if he's just a local.
As long as it's painless, as promised by the nose hair trimmer. I say, nose or man, picking should always be painless (to paraphrase a line in Psycho).
Hoping not to get political, but the House Representatives who want to open the investigation are some of the more interesting and quirky Reps of recent times. I do appreciate the change in the American political landscape where fringe types and people normally considered "wackos" are also able to represent their curious legislative districts. I think it is very beneficial to discuss open secrets like extraterrestrial activity and other topics in our lifetime as it was largely ignored or swept under the rug in prior generations.
They're worried about the influx of illegal aliens from space. It just an excuse to get the Space Force 2 trillion dollars in funding to build a wall in space.
