I loved our downtown WOOLWORTH. Especially for remembering the great smell of Hot Dogs on rotators at the Food Counter and seeing that great big see-thru globe container filled with Orangeade being swirled around. And of course the LP Record Cut out bins always full of great 60's - early 70's Soundtrack LP Albums usually 3/$100 . Probably got half of my LP Soundtrack Collection from Woolworth back in the day.
We also had an 88 cent store downtown that my Mom and I would always frequent. You could get cheap 88 cent knock offs of Barbie Dolls and G.I. Joe that were made out of cheap plastic and had no bending movement to their arms and legs. Loved all those stores!
Found myself with some time to kill at the local strip mall so I decided to check out our Dollar Tree and to my pleasant surprise, they had all three soundtracks listed (Astro Boy, Eagle Eye, and Speed Racer) for $1.25. I picked up all three! I'm in Southern Virginia FWIW.
I'm quite jealous! The ones around us don't seem to carry CD's at all.. only DVD's and a handful of Blu-Rays (if we're lucky).
Where in SoVA? Couldn't find anything in Hampton Roads.

I was at the Dollar Tree in Marion, which is North up I81 about an hour from Bristol.
