Ordered both titles by Bolling & Delerue.

Great music, great composers & great series.

Is there any hope for

Georges Garvarentz: La lumière des justes (1979), Les Mohicans de Paris (1973), La porteuse de pain (1973)

At least 5 tracks from LA LUMIÈRE DES JUSTES can also be found on this fine Garvarentz CD compilation (which despite its title "Chansons de films" contains mostly instrumental Garvarentz tracks):
https://www.discogs.com/de/Charles-Aznavour-Georges-Garvarentz-Chansons-de-films/release/12390098

All three Garvarentz titles you mention are owned by Editions Musicales Djanik which is the music publishing company of Charles Aznavour - now owned by his son Nicolas Aznavour.
It could depend on how cooperative this company is.

Google's English translation

You don't have to use google to translate Music Box Records' press releases. They provide an English version on their website

The titles have been announced and they're great: of course no HAWAII FIVE 0 (!) but French stuff by Bolling and Delerue!

Enjoy!
Laurent

Hi, Laurent.

Do we know why the MusicBox logo is not visible on these volumes of music from television?
"Big Music from the small screen" appears to be the label name according to the images of the covers.

For anyone interested, Claude Bolling's wonderful MONSIEUR DUVALLIER / MISS is almost sold out at MBR:

https://www.musicbox-records.com/fr/cd-musiques-de-films/9255-l-etrange-monsieur-duvallier-miss.html

I noticed that Bolling turned 90 this April! I wonder if he is still involved in the production of the CDs at this age.

Hi Dorian, thanks for the head-up. I think Bolling is a very good composer, but I didn't listen to the samples to protect me from buying it. When you said it's almost sold out, I always have a panic reaction. I listened to the samples and couldn't resist, great themes. There were some recent Morricone titles (Spasmo and Sostiene Pereira) that I could combine it with to make the shipping acceptable. I know I can count on your judgement, so thanks for bringing this Bolling CD to my attention. Music Box are very good (and fast) with their service, I order mostly from them these days.

Hi Chris -- glad to hear from you and I hope that you will enjoy this CD. I've been playing Les Brigades du Tigre, Flic Story/Doucement les Basses and other Bolling a lot over the past months and this new CD from Music Box is a great companion to them (especially the first half). I think there's much more TV music deserving a release so it is good to see these releases being successful (the Bolling is now sold out at Music Box!).

Cheers and happy holidays!

Mere weeks after this post, Mr. Bolling passed away.

The 'thanks' on the CD booklet also mention David Bolling.
Perhaps David will continue to assist in future released of Claude's music?

As a result we can possibly expect a lot of titles by composers like Jacques Loussier (THIERRY LA FRONDE, ROCAMBOLE, ROULETABILLE, D'ARTAGNAN AMOUREUX, etc), Georges Garvarentz (QUENTIN DURWARD, LES MOHICANS DE PARIS, etc), Claude Bolling (CLAUDINE, L'ETRANGE MONSIEUR DUVALLIER, etc), the already mentioned Raymond Alessandrini (FABIEN DE LA DROME, LE ROI DE PATAGONIE, etc), and of course countless Delerue scores (LES COMPAGNONS D'ELEUSIS, FANTOMAS, etc).

Hi, Laurent78.

Are all these titles possible from Sony/ATV?

I'm afraid I can't say. I assume they actually belong to various publishers.
