Finally got 'round to ordering Intrada's Time Bandits, and was somewhat dismayed to discover sonic anomalies on the George Harrison track "Dream Away". The first 15-44 seconds (the instrumental intro of the tune) of my copy have audible static in the left channel. It's not my drive (unless the two different drives I played it in -- one a DVD drive and the other Blu-ray drive -- are both defective, which seems unlikely). There is nothing in Doug's "Tech talk" notes that mentions "damaged tapes", so I'm wondering if I have a defective disc. Anyone else experiencing this issue? Thanks!

Yes, I hear it, just as you describe. It's not pronounced, and I also would have assumed my headphones were just not quite plugged in or something.

In the first 10 seconds, I can hear some faint grating sound on the left channel thru headphones, but no issues in the 15-44 seconds range he specified. Oops, I misspoke. I meant to say from the opening of the track until 0:15. So I guess I'm not the only one. Thanks for the feedback, gents!

So it seems to be present at the mastering level. It doesn't bother me terribly, I just thought I might have a defective disc. In fact I'm relieved I don't have to deal with the hassle of sending my CD back for a replacement! Thanks again everyone!
