I took one look out the (white) window this morning and said 'I'm working from home today'.

I will have you know I have ridden to Newcastle, Sunderland, Blackburn, Liverpool, York, Manchester, oldham, Tranmere, Derby, Birmingham, Norwich, Peterborough, Bristol and Ipswich. All boggy.

Some were raids on villages, some was tax collection, Royal hunt invites and some jousting tournaments. Would have gone to Sheffield too, but they had the plague.

Witchfinding. You forgot witchfinding.

Currently up beyond the arctic circle, in Tromsø. The weird thing -- it's considerably warmer here than in Oslo and the south (it's usually the other way around). New, huge amounts of snow are expected to once again cover the south in the coming days. This is from my hometown down there, a couple of weeks ago. Just business as usual in Norway.

Not content with the Titanic, that bloody iceberg is after Volvos now.

I'd have wiped that snow off my car before trying to reverse off my drive.

I'm loving the weather in London right now. Very cold, but still one or two degrees above freezing & very sunny with blue skies. Great weather for walking if you wrap up.

I think you need an excavator to get rid of that.

It's comparatively mild here (I took the picture on my walk earlier today), though winter is coming.

This really made me LOL.

I wonder why the light in the car is on? Do they drive around with a ton of snow on the roof?

The mayhem down south continues. The airport is closed, all bus and train services are closed. Thank God I flew up north yesterday, before the storm. I just hope it settles until I fly back on Saturday, otherwise I'm stuck up here. Norway is used to huge amounts of snow, but it's been many, many years since I've experienced this level of craziness. I think maybe the 90s.

Here it is currently just a "normal" winter (for these parts), with temperatures about -1°C/30°F daytime high and about -7°C/20°F nighttime low. It is snowing (so that I just literally shoveled snow in front of our garage and walkway), but nothing "spectacular". Not like what is going on in Norway, which is unusually harsh even for the area.

An inch so far in Tysons Corner, Virginia. The Lumen Condo has a 200 feet tall lightsaber on the side of the building to guide people through the snow. smile It changes color by the minute.
