Terrible England stat: they have never won their opening game at the Euros.

Wales 0-0 Swiss HT.

Swiss had the better of it.

Does anyone want to score in the first half in this tournament?

Missed Turkey-Italy yesterday because it collided with the "Cheers" meeting, but saw the match today instead. Italy had total control, and won deserved. Might win the whole thing.

Wales-Switzerland at the moment -- rather boring match. Gareth Bale isn't what he used to be.

Finished 1-1. Swiss scored in 85th minute but it was ruled out for offside.

Another fairly dire game. Overall, wales probly didnt deserve a draw but not the worse result for them.

Just popped in from the baking heat of our garden to see that Arsenal are playing now.
I don't want them to win.

Finland are reenacting The Alamo. Denmark are all over them. English referee, it looks like, so Gawd 'elp both sides.

That's an unusual shirt for the Danes. It's usually all red.

Finland player gets hit in face by ball from corner - goes down like he's been shot. Turns out he's alive. Shock.

All the games have been like that. One team dominates, the other defends their box desperately. No wonder these tournaments aren't exciting anymore.

Holy shit what happened? They 're giving a Dane the kiss of life and trying to kick-start his heart on the pitch.

Yes, Christian Eriksen just collapsed. Probably some heart issues. I hope he'll be OK.

Just horrible frown

I hope he's okay.

I feel sick, looking back at it when he lands and his eyes are wide open and stay wide open was horrifying. I do hope he's alright. Fabrice Muamba had the same issue when Bolton played Spurs years ago and recovered, so hopefully that's the case here. Absolutely horrific.

Terrible to watch. They've abandoned the game now so it doesn't look good. Just hope he pulls through somehow.

Cardiomopathy. My cousin died of that. Running in a marathon aged 17 and collapsed.

Erikssen slowed for a few seconds then went out like a light. His eyes were open while he was unconscious and the CPR makes me fear it's the same thing.

I fear the worst.

His eyes were so wide open, that was horrifying to see. Felt terrible for his girlfriend or wife who got onto the pitch and was being consoled by Schmeichel.

apparently it took 1m 45s between collapse and ressucitation (sp) started.

there's a photo on twitter of eriksen touching his face and conscious as he's being lead off the pitch which was shielded by blankets and tv cameras. that's better news.

Apparently good news that he's stable! Official announcement. I really did think he was dead on the pitch.

Thank God. I really thought he'd had it.
