Fantastic news. I recently played the Legacy cd and was horrified at how bad it sounded. Looking forward to cleaned up sound, plus the rest. I like the march--Barry used to be in an actual military band, so he knows something about marches--but in typical Barry fashion he does something unusual and features an oboe solo!

Wow...according to the soundtrackcollector database all of his feature scores are now being covered. So no more releases left, except for 3 or 4 obscure rejected TV scores. Is he the first one to be fully covered?! He's not fully covered yet, not by a long way. But he is pretty well covered.

Which features are missing? Off the top of my head: They Might Be Giants My Sister's Keeper The Tamarind Seed Eleanor and Franklin Young Joe The War Between The Tates Hearts of Fire Year of the Comet Goodbye Lover Sinful Davey Love Among The Ruins Svengali Touched By Love Willa Some of these titles may have had a re-recorded theme or a short suite from the Silva Screen years, but none of them have had any original music released or been recorded as full scores. And many others are still incomplete on disc. There's plenty of mileage yet. Cheers

I'm already fairly obsessed with unused scores, so Barry's Sinful Davey and especially Year of the Comet and Goodbye, Lover are near the top of my Want List.

Yeah at this point you’d think labels would just ask for and check any tapes related to a score, in case they may be mislabeled... Yavar They do, Yavar. The labels most definitely do that---and a whole lot more.

Barry's sound may not have varied drastically, especially during the post-health crisis/Dances With Wolves era (you could perhaps call it his "slow" period), but he never lost his lack for first-rate melodies: "Moviola," Chaplin, My Life, The Specialist, Cry the Beloved Country, and so on. (imho)
