Let‘s all stop that and focus on the thread‘s topic. No one has to win here, some will like the score, some will not - no problem. But let‘s stay civil and use reasonable arguments.

I have never put anyone on the ignore list and never will, it takes a lot to offend me. Don't tempt me, Henry. I love a good challenge.

I haven't bothered to read through the recent posts. It sounds like a lot of people are mad at somebody... I just wanted to say something silly and kind of emotional... I found myself feeling melancholy yesterday evening thinking about the end of Williams' involvement with the Star Wars franchise after 40+ years. His time with these films has been going on for nearly my entire lifetime. It feels like the end of an era, for me, at least.

Clearly we have dolphin racists here. I actually had to go to the JWFan.com forum to see if there was any new info'. I shouldn't have to do that. We need a new thread. No more disguised attempts to shove in ways to rile up other members, no more genitalia equality, just score discussion and film where needed to discuss the score, and leave the film discussion to a Non-Film Score Discussion section.

Has there been a track list posted anywhere online? Or is it still too early? It might be too early for a tracklist, but it's certainly not too early for at least an announcement of the CD itself, so one can pre-order it on Amazon. We're way past the usual timeframe for that, and I'm wondering why that is. Thoughts ...?

What made me wonder about a tracklist in the first place was a funny memory I have from the time when Episode 1 was about to come out. At the time, my wife's cousin's son-in-law (yes, that IS correct ) was working at a record store. He was (and still is) a guy who goes out of his way to avoid anything even vaguely resembling a spoiler. Combine that quality with also being a stone-cold SW fanatic, and you have someone whose work is definitely cut out for him. So, long story short, the OST comes out in advance of the movie and he's putting the CD's on the racks. He thought he was safe. He wasn't. Right there, on the back cover, the words: Qui-Gon's Noble End. And right afterward: Qui-Gon's Funeral. He froze in shock. Then we went on to, I kid you not, fume about it for WEEKS afterwards--I'm talking FUME. It was hilarious. He knew it was ridiculous, too, but we had such a good time poking fun at him about it that it's still a part of the family mythology. So, I was thinking, maybe the people in charge of such things as track titles would be more sensitive nowadays. Edited to add: Oopsies--I meant to say, "Then HE went on to..." (spoilers don't bother me).

I remember my local blockbuster started selling the OST a few weeks before the movie came out and I was a naive youngster who'd only just started collecting a few months prior and I was really crestfallen to see how FEW tracks there were--I was spoiled by the special edition soundtracks and thought all Star Wars scores were released complete. The Qui Gon thing was shitty once I started watching the movie because I knew who he was but when I read it initially I didn't realize he was basically the main character in the movie so I didn't think anything of it. Looking back--it's a really poor choice on whoever's part (sony, Lucasfilm, Williams himself?) to have spoilers in the titles.

Didn't Revenge of the Sith get put on a FWY studio site shortly before the film came out? Or am I confusing that with the whole CD being leaked shortly before the film came out?

I felt pretty much that way after Revenge Of The Sith. But also i felt happy that JW completed his work on the Star Wars saga.As far as im concerned the first six episodes of the franchise are the Skywalker saga and everything Disney has done takes place in an alternative universe. Not to dismiss JW's work on the Disney era,but i feel like they are the equivalent of an encore after the main concert has ended.
