That's good to hear, Kev!

I see you still haven't explored what is my favourite work of his (as far as film and TV music is concerned, anyway): THE LEFTOVERS!

The Leftovers is great. It's what got me into Richter in the first place.

I've been aware and liked him since WALTZ WITH BASHIR in '08, but THE LEFTOVERS was what made me truly LOVE his work. He suddenly moved up a step or two with that.

I desperately hope for a score release to the film he worked on called Into the Forest. Gorgeous, haunting, lyrical music. Best I've heard from the guy, and that's saying a lot.

Seconded.
Did ya ever get around to the novel?

I only discovered Richter earlier this year with his score for 'Mary, Queen of Scots' now I'm picking up as much of his output as possible and making up for lost time. He is in concert at the Barbican in London next February. Sold out of course, but I hope to pick up returns nearer the dates.

Speaking of SHUTTER...
Recently heard Robbie Robertson talk about the soundtrack.
He said he was solely responsible for picking tracks as Scorcese didn't know much about modern music.
Wish I could a asked about the great mashup of THIS BITTER EARTH

Yes definitely check out THE LEFTOVERS!!
As many others, this is what made me a Richter follower.

And also yes, that "Finale" cue from Mary Queen Of Scots is perfect!

He also did amazing work for the Black Mirror episode "Nosedive". Awesome stuff!!

Thanks for the suggestions.
By some quirk of fate, our HMV shop has had a bit of a Price Crash on certain titles by him, throughout the store.
CD's such as HOSTILES, TABOO, NOSEDIVE and some of his classical works (THREE WORLDS/WOOLF WORKS) have all had £4.99 stickers pasted on them.
Talk about fate! wink

Great offer! I was not too thrilled with HOSTILES, but the others you mention there are also gems.

Great prices! I haven't really listened to Hostiles since i got it but love the others. A couple of years ago i was in HMV Manc and left with £100 of Richter CDs. Enjoy them, boyo.

Shush!

We're all still waiting in anticipation here, untill Kev has gotten around to THE LEFTOVERS. I'm afraid that after all our adulation, he's going to dislike it or even worse -- be indifferent to it.
