Didn’t they mention Tiomkin at some point? How about THE HIGH AND THE MIGHTY?
That has NEVER been released, in any format.
THE HIGH AND THE MIGHTY will certainly not be officially released due to all the licensing problems (WB + Batjac). Above all as licensing such titles gets more and more difficult as well as too costly and sales on the other hand go more and more down for these Golden Age titles. It´s a hopeless situation nowadays. Just two months ago MV Gerhard mentioned that no Rozsa or Tiomkin will appear this year on LLL:
In case you guys haven't picked up on it by now, I'm a big Bond music fan. Getting the original Altman recording for that cue would be very nice. But I'm also really wanting that helicopter cue and, of course, the gunbarrel.
I'd hoped the pace would have picked up greatly by now on the Universal Heritage releases.
It was almost a year ago when they first teased this stuff and since then all we've gotten is, barely, four releases with nothing further on the immediate horizon. I'd expected we'd be about ten to twelve titles deep going into this summer.
I've bought, and enjoyed them all (haven't received Sentinel yet), but it's hardly scratching the surface of what they have.
Fletch 2 is in a week or two (end of May) so anxiously awaiting that one!
There are several unreleased Burwell scores I would not mind if they ever get released such as The Jackal and also Fear and Airheads, yes it is brief but Airheads could be paired with his Waynes World 2 score.
