Another sold, so now he's increased the price to 190 dollars.

(edit) He's upped it to 210 dollars.

Both Optimus and Megatron variants have sold out in five minutes.

I'm not kidding.

Mental.

Interestingly though, on their twitter page, they responded a few hours to someone who asked that they would try to repress the album if it sells out quickly, but in a different color format, no doubt which would the Prime and Megatron editions more valuable.

Soundwave, Grimlock and Starscream variants, here we come.

ETR must be laughing all the way to the bank.

Well, they are a business and their goal is to turn a profit, so yeah, they should be happy, I know I would be.

Can we do a Kickstarter to hire a hitman to take out all those greedy s.o.b's?

It now becomes whether or not it's about the "collectable" factor vs. the music. Folks really just seem to want those character variants the most - Bumblebee is still in stock. big grin

ETR will eventually end up with variants for every single Transformer if sales continue at this pace.

GI Joe, Jem and other Hasbro properies are no doubt on the way.

It's astonishing to me that two years later, LLL's He-Man set is still in stock.

The Bumblebee variant appears to be sold out now.
(Edit: False alarm... for now. For a brief moment it said "Out of Stock")

I think LLL printed 3000 and 2500 were sold pretty quick after release. Not a bad thing to allow the last 500 to sit for a bit in my mind. (also it's coming up on three years now - didn't this come out April 2015?)

Heh, they accidentally included a pre-final version of the theme song:

Longer opening portion, Anne and Ford lyrics have no vocal processing, the "robots in disguise" uses a completely different vocoder effect.

It seems that sometimes, if you press 2,000, you'll sell out, but if you press 3,000, you'll sell 1,500.

Very interesting, although the main title is the last piece of music I was concerned about, my main focus are those orchestral tracks from Johnny Douglas.

This is because, I quote: sountrack fans want cd's, not lp's.

And the fans DO.

Unlike you, I went and did a little research:

Released March 17, 2015 with 3,000 units.

On May 12, 2015 -- about two months later -- MV posted:
"Probably 500 or so left"

It's sold very very well. Not only do people want the CD's, they actually bought them as opposed to saying they want them. That it's not sold out yet, doesn't mean anything. It's obviously somewhere under 500 units by now with, almost three years later. It sold 2,500 in two months -- that's damn good.
