Mind you, I am talking about hobbies here..............

In the last two years, I have grown to love my score collection more than anything else (hobby-wise). It has even surpassed fantasy football, reading books, and surfing the Net.

How much are you into this stuff?

It's one of the main passions in my life -- alongside travelling, socializing, beer and potato chips. smile

So pretty damn high!

Music is my main interest - I don't consider it a "hobby."

Certain film music is very much a part of this, but I'm not interested in film music categorically.

I've never really thought about ranking my interests, but if I did, film music would probably be in my Top 5.

High but composer specific (for the most part), not film music in general.

It used to be #2 but classical concert music and karate have supplanted it largely. Composing will always be first and foremost though.

Listening to scores is my number one form of entertainment, and since I like to make my own playlists I supposed its my number one hobby as well.

Well, my #1 interest and passion is the opposite sex. But music is #2. smile

Well, I have three hobbies and those are films/movies, film music and my key chain collection (as of now I have 3020).

In which order I would place them could change from time to time so sometimes it is films/movies on first place and sometimes it is film music and other times it is key chains. It really depends on several things so it is impossible for me to say that one of them is in first place forever it changes from time to time.

I am glad the original poster said HOBBIES ! Between PRIORITIES, I personally don't have much free time for hobbies. I am passionate about music I enjoy, not just film music. That is a great thing because as a whole, (but not always) I personally think the film music pendalum has swung away from what got me into it in the first place.

Very high up on my list; number 2 in importance. The music transports me to times and places both past and future, and wherever they may be, I like being there. It truly is addictive.

I believe it was meant in a tongue in cheek way.

Coming from the poster in question, I wasn't sure. But if that's the case, then I apologize.

Yes from past experiences from our friend FIRST BREATH it was done in tongue and cheek. he fooled me once on something recently. In my life, film music since I was very young has always been a liking of mine. Along with many other things in life. Why not? it 'so underrated and it is for the most part fine music[for sure the melodic line, please no comment about modern film, it is still in many places]However the level of my interest has been a rollercoaster ride. Because like all of us, life offers so many changes in our lives. When I was young, late teenager early 20's I was a fanatic, then do to my business ventures in the film industry less time to collect more time to actually indulge in that art form. Then later in life, late 30's do to my change in life I went on a second purge of interest since I became a big record vendor. Now in middle age I still appreciate it at times, but life is busy, so the time to indulge is a lot less. But i still love it when the chance is there.

Wow, so you really thought that a person who has been a member on the forum since 2001 doesn't like film music at all? Well, then it had been a hell of a waste of time being here, I'll tell you that.
