Very high, although I think of music as one interest rather than "film music" as a separate interest. And that interest extends to playing guitar pretty well and piano not-so-well but slowly getting better. My other main interest is Korean cults, and you'd be surprised how often those two interests intersect. Just recently I was watching a propaganda film by a Korean cult whose leader is in jail for rape (4 counts and literally thousands of other allegations - he was a fugitive wanted by INTERPOL for some 8 years), and accompanying the idyllic footage of the cult's rural retreat was the sweet music of Joe Hisaishi's Kikujiro (Summer) score. Mixed emotions when I came across that: "Cool, they like Joe Hisaishi too... Oh no, they like Joe Hisaishi too!
Beyond those, exercise and reading are my other interests. And despite loving film music, films themselves aren't real high on my lists of interest. I enjoy a good film sure, especially if I like the composer attached to it, but generally my film music interest far far exceeds my interest in films.

Next to my family, music is my life ... and, as a I grow older, it seems to be even more so.
Yes, I can do without music - we're just back from a two-week motoring holiday during which I played no more than 4hrs of music - but since coming home the hi-fi has hardly been quiet!
As for film music as a genre, this was my door into music collecting (thank you, sister - Christmas 1970 - Geoff Love's Big Western Movie Themes) and this genre represents well over 60% of my collection, based on individual tracks.
But the last 6 - 9 months has seen a move away towards Classical music (that heading meant to represent all sorts of Concert Hall works from, say, Haydn to Birtwistle). I'm losing interest in the big action scores by the likes of Goldsmith and Williams; even my fanaticism for Morricone is waning ... I'm not so desperate to collect every release of his!
But I don't see a day when my love of the genre of film music wanes completely ... it's just that so few modern scores work for me. I think the very disappointing score (and film, generally) to last year's Skyfall has really dented my enthusiasm and I need a new release to get me in the film score buying mood again.
NP: (my wife's choice): Jerry Goldsmith's Legend (having previously played two pieces by Bartok - my choices!)

Not as high as it used to be,
Movies and movie music were hand-and-hand #1 when I was a teen. Now it's somewhere in the Top 10 I guess. My wife, good sex, College Football, my dogs, physical fitness all have taken priority for me.
Ironically, college and the internet are really to account for the drop in interest. As a teen I grew up in a small town as a skinny geeky film music guy, raiding the used record stores in the outer cities (Chattanooga, TN). In college, I had to socialize more, went to football games and extra curricular stuff. Used records stores were plentiful in a college town and both the FSM mag and the internet made soundtrack info, collecting much easier. So less time had to be spent finding and researching soundtracks, and more time to develop other interests.
I'm grateful for my college experience therefore and love that fact that I can still have a healthy appreciation for film music, and have time to develop other appreciations.

And how many CDs do you have? What % of your collection is film scores?
Weird questions. Was trying to figure out why you singled Redokt out to ask him that...and couldn't come up with a why. Like, how does that matter? Were you just curious?
Because his answer is similar to what I would have written had I answered my own question. And I figure the size of his collection would equal the amount of his passion. So I was curious.
I think the last physical count (start of 2013) was 3500... with 3000 of them directly in the category of film/tv music (scores, compilations, etc.)... The remaining 500 or so is split between
all other types except Rap (gag me). For cassettes (yes, still have them) and lp's (still have them as well) total of both 1500, with 1400 of them being soundtrack related.
Alpha order by composer... alpha order within that composers section... oldest to newest release of title going left to right.
Like I said... film music will never budge from my number one interest. Recently I was listening to all things Herrmann, Rozsa and Waxman. Still on the Blue Box by FSM... and, next up is John Barry.
