TO FRANCIS- I only called john carpenter A TURKEY once, what am I suppose to call him my friend?
so, it´s like I would call you a moron once...exactly the same isn´t it? If you do not like Carpenter fine, but then why bother writing in a thread you don´t feel passionate about and wasting your energy? You only piss people of that do like it, but then again that is probably the thing that gets you going? To piss people off ans siting behind your CPU like an internet bully...
Your saying the same thing over and over again, I said I don't know why threads have to be segregated, with all likes or all not likes., just because you have this thing for MR Carpenter does not mean one should have to be intimidated if they don't agree. Why after a bunch of days you still cursing, let it go.
I was recently in the area where the creepy church was used in the film "Prince Of Darkness". I see a couple of people beat me to posting footage of the present day location on youtube.

I like PRINCE OF DARKNESS but I think AT THE MOUTH OF MADNESS was a true original and my favorite of the director's later films.
John Carpenter is a genre filmmaker after my own heart. I really enjoy his films. I understand he's been having a hard time trying to get his latest propositions financed. It doesn't look like his horror-western, based on a true story about the Bender family in Kansas, will ever get made. It would be an instant classic if he made it. Carpenter is well-suited to the western and to the horror film. On his last film, The Ward (2010) he was merely the director-for-hire.
He's well represented on blu-ray. I need to look into collecting more of his scores.
