I had FORT APACHE pictured here.

I loved it and probably played with it the most out of all my toys, when I was between 7 and 10 years old.

What toys bring back great memories for you?

Please share.

Thanks,

Zoob

A standard-issue bag of little plastic dinosaurs did it for me. Later, when Aurora put out the "Prehistoric Scenes" kits I was convinced that I never wanted that part of my childhood to expire.

Until the die-cast replicas of the Thunderbirds and the SPV came along....

Real Ghostbusters (had most of the toys in this picture, but only kept the ecto-1).

G.I. Joe

Thundercats

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (loved the Krang figure)

I gave all of it away to kids in the neigborhood. Only have the Ecto-1 and Stay puft left from Ghostbusters smile

I had a Fort Apache too... but my older brother got some gems I liked even more... check out this 'Ben Hur' playset (has lots of photos).

BEN HUR : There were gates to let the lions out into the arena + a slave market (late 1950's pre political correctness stuff). I can see that a LOT of the pieces are missing... there were 4 chariots for races, lots of soldiers, big cats, 100's of pieces!

more individual pieces:

I do not see "Train With A Brain" for sale... a very cool train set. smile

GI Joe all the way.

I still collect them! The latest wave of figures just got released and I can't wait to get 'em. The level of detail on them now is just amazing.

I'll post a pic of my collection when I can...

another of my older brother's toys... "Marx Original Davy Crocket at the Alamo play set"

http://cgi.ebay.com/Marx-Original-Davy-Crocket-Alamo-play-set-/330457743813?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0

Lots of photos... I'm kind of amazed these toys still exist. They did not survive my family's nomadic wanderings.

Star Wars action figures (I actually still have most of them boxed away, most of them missing their guns and stuff).

Ninja Turtles and a couple Marvel Comics ones too.

Rechargable battery powered Hot Wheels. Remember those orange colored tracks with the purple-tongue connectors? Each charge lasted about four minutes, then the cars came to a stop. I also liked the gyro powered toy called Whizzers. I sent away for it and had to wait three weeks for it to be delivered, an eternity for a kid. You place the hard rubber tip of it against the hardwood floor and roll it in a circular motion to get the internal gyro spinning. It will spin on the floor for a few minutes. Mothers hated it because it marks up the floor.

Aside from having tons of G.I. Joe and Star Wars figures and vehicles, I also had plenty of these:

The Real Ghostbusters

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

M.A.S.K.

Battle Beasts

Army Ants

Had a few Transformers here and there but was never really into that franchise. Also had Lincoln Logs and buckets of Legos.

Around 1998, when I was replete with cash, I bought a TON of childhood toys on eBay and from some SF Bay Area dealers, and they're among my most prized possessions.

Major Matt Mason -- 2 space stations, 2 crawlers, a bunch of accessories and various figures (including Callisto and Scorpio)

Zeroid Alien robot

Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea "Seaview" playset (the yellow, wind-up version)

I just assembled one of my MMM space stations, and it's sitting on top of a bookshelf in my home office. I look upon it and smile. :-)

I actually saw Madballs for sale at work not too long ago. I can't believe they're making them again.
