Now I'm confused, which one is coming out on Blu-ray then? It would be the TV series of "The Clone Wars". To clear up any confusion: 2003 - 2004 - There were two seasons of "Star Wars: Clone Wars" cartoons, created by Gennady Tartakovsky, which was intended to bridge the storyline between Episodes 2 and 3 of the feature films. Season 1 was comprised of 20 mini-episodes totalling about 70 minutes, and could be watched seamlessly on DVD. Season 2 was restructured as five 12-minute episodes, and leads directly to the opening of Episode 3. I believe these two series are now OOP on DVD. 2008 - A feature-length CGI pilot movie "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" (ST:TCW) was produced, with a storyline involving Jabba the Hutt's kidnapped son(!) and the introduction of an apprentice for Anakin Skywalker. This has also been out on DVD for a while already. 2008 - ongoing: A regular TV series, also called "Star Wars: The Clone Wars", comprising 22 episodes of 22 minutes each was produced, and Season 1 has finished. I think Season 2 will premiere at about the same time the DVD/Blue-Ray Season 1 boxed set comes out in November. This set apparently does not include the pilot movie, so you'll still have to buy it separately. I believe that a season 1 volume 1 single-disc release, comprising the first 4 episodes, has been released on DVD, with volume 2 (another four episodes) coming out in September. Of course, it does make you wonder what Lucasfilm is thinking by releasing these piecemeal, when the complete set is coming out only a few months later.
