Sounds excellent.

Are there any tracks in here which weren't on the two disc set of KKVsG released a year and a half ago?

Also, when you released your 50th Godzilla soundtrack, you said you had plans to release other japanese soundtracks. Do you have any plans to release any of the Zatoichi series on CD? Or any classic Masaru Sato perchance?

One new track, but the the sound is ten times better than the 2 disc set that was released (which could only be purchased in that expensive box set).

As for more Japanese releases, expect Zatoichi: The Best Cuts compilation later this year.

It'll be interesting to hear the Japanese score...the US version used cues from CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON and others.

Any chance the GODZILLA vs THE COSMIC MONSTER by Masaru Satoh could be next for remastering?

It depends on the sales of this latest release.

BTW, any interest in an American release of the latest Godzilla movies like Final Wars?

Please don't release Final Wars. Spend your resources on something worthwhile. I'm serious.

Trust me when I say it will be worth it. It's one of Ifukube's best for the Godzilla series.

It's already out, with a bunch of other cool stuff (including Final Wars) on the 3-CD Keith Emerson At the Movies disc. A steal for fans at $29.99. Get it at Amazon:

A full Ifukube Godzilla score in stereo, this seems to be? Very very tempting...

Wow! Thanks for the info. Can't wait for the Zatoichi album. I missed out on the three disk Zatoichi set and can't seem to get those anywhere. The only Zatoichi tracks I do have form the original film series are on an Ifikube compilation so this sounds like the best soundtrack news I'm going to hear all year.

Thanks.

Heard and read the specs on the 3CD set and
I've already got most of that 3CD set on individual CDs from Italy & Japan.
I just want NIGHTHAWKS by itself on CD.

Thanks La La Land!!!

I'd be up for just about ANY further Godzilla titles you can get your hands on! Anything from the Heisei series of films perhaps?

The imports of these scores are hard to find and most of them are just in that box set which is not very cheap.

Another idea is to issue scores from other Japanese monster franschises like:

MOTHERA
RODAN
GAMERA
VARAN THE UNBELIEVEABLE
GAPPA THE TRIPHIBIAN MONSTER

Just to name a few...

Rockers doing film scores. Oh how they bring such integrity back to the art form!

OT- Thanks LaLa. I look forward to hearing this score again. It should provide a rush like the first time I saw the film, but without a mouthful of popcorn and milk duds!

(Warning: This is adding to a 9-year-old thread.)

In this last week I was gorging myself on all of the G DVD's, but tonight I felt like listening to LLL's CD edition of KK vs. G on the hi-fi.
I had never compared it to the Toho box version, which is sort of weird because normally I'm all about the "shootout".
Anyway, one would think that Toho's would be the go-to (and it is very good), but LLL's remaster is superior.
Usually I regard such audio adjectives as "smooth" and "full" with suspicion when I come across them, but that's exactly what LLL delivered.

It's a delight.
A belated thank you, LLL gents.
