Not the 'complete' bit, necessarily, but that these heretofore unreleased(?) Horner scores get the royal rerecording treatment. I had THE HAND on a bootleg once. It was pretty rough listening, but that may also be due to the poor sound quality. THE DRESSER, I've never even heard. Matt Dunkley is a good start to have on board for the project. A VERY accomplished composer/conductor/arranger/orchestrator in his own right. I'll be interested to read what orchestra will be tackling the music (although THE DRESSER, like TESTAMENT, is a small ensemble). We are VERY thrilled to work on this project and have secured the talent of many esteemed colleagues in the film music world to collaborate on these recordings. I will not give out any names as that is better left for the updates, so some of the mystery is still kept, but I can say that the orchestra, which Matt will be conducting, is none other than the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. We hope you all will be supporting this campaign. One of the best pure acting films I've ever seen in my life, tour de force stuff. A fella I was acquainted with played the Edward Fox role on the Broadway stage. Tom Courtenay transferred his performance brilliantly from there to the screen. I'm so glad that there are others out there willing to see this through and get this hard to obtain music in our hands (no pun intended). There was a time when I was skeptical of re-recordings but as we've gotten so many faithful recordings to the originals over the years I am fully on board. Nice, too, that the Horner estate - Sara Horner, specifically - is fully supporting this as well. The Horner riches continue.    Posted:   Mar 1, 2024 - 1:59 AM     By:   Ny   (Member) Great. I'm in. I didn't pick up any of the recent very early Horner releases - Battle Beyond the Stars, Deadly Blessing, or Humanoids from the Deep, I'm familiar enough with the scores and they're just not likely to get much play at this stage with my listening habits, but a new recording is something else. And an enterprise to get unreleased music out there is something else again. I saw The Hand yonks ago, I remember I stayed up to watch it because Horner was on the credits. I can't recall now what the score is like, Wolfen-ish I wanna say? Because I recall digging it. What a CD that will be.
