My skin is just fine, Jim. What I need to do is probably spend more time on the other side of this board instead of so much time on this side because I’m sick of the sexism here.
You see what I call Borderline racist, Anti-Semitic, or homophobic comments are not really tolerated here anymore. For a while, there were too many homophobic remarks, but FSM stopped them.
What has not stopped are what I call BS remarks. I don’t mean Bullsh$%t remarks; I mean Borderline Sexist remarks. Believe it or not, each week I ignore about 80% of those comments, and I keep thinking I shouldn’t react because of the label FemiNazi, but some are hard to ignore. You rarely see those comments from the posters on the music side, but they often rear up their ugly heads on this side. However, there is often a winkie icon with those remarks, so therefore I guess no one is suppose take them seriously. I don’t see people making racist comments thinking that is okay if there is a winkie icon. Well I’m done ignoring such comments, and I’m done trying to keep my respect for posters who make such comments. Posters will do just fine without my respect and I can live without their respect.
“A rose by any other name is still a rose.” Sexist comments with winkie icons are still sexist.
In a nutshell, what you call “scrutiny” or scrutinizing a belief system is just plain Blatant and sometimes Borderline Sexism, and when I have time I will “scrutinize” such comments instead of ignoring them.

No Jim. You make sexist remarks, and when I call you on it, you say I don't defend my deeply flawed beliefs. I don't think my beliefs are flawed. I feel your beliefs couch sexism, and you don't like me actually saying that.
I don't feel I've lost any debates. I have composed my beliefs which I think you called long-winded. Yes, I wanted to compose my full ideas.
We will just have to agree to disagree which is fine with me.
You're a hypocrite. You virtue signal about equality, and in the same breath dash off an idiotic remark about how I should avoid Australia, where someone advocated that one group should be discriminated against in favor of another, all in the name of "equality."
My "sexist" belief system supports the rights of individuals--ALL individuals. Because when you support the rights of individuals, you support the rights of every person, not select groups over others like you do.

Funny thing is I haven't read any sexist remakes on this board. No ones said women should be sexually assaulted, shouldn't have equal rights, should be barefoot and pregnant, their place is in the house, they're not as smart as men, shouldn't be aloud high up positions in business.

Solium, you are correct. I doubt that you will ever see such remarks on this board.
I think such blatant sexist comments towards women or men would totally violate the rules of the FSM board. I think our moderator would not allow such comments. What I stated earlier is that I’m tired of the BS, Borderline Sexist comments or Subtle or semi-subtle sexist comments. In the last year or two, I guess I should have kept a running list of such comments from this board and then downloaded them here, but I didn’t.
Solium, I hope you understand that my point is that no one here makes Borderline or Subtle comments or jokes about OTHER ISMS like racism. That could lead to banishment. I wish the same was true about subtle sexism here, but it is not.
I have ignored most of those comments, but that silence just lead to more BS.
Now you might ask if I think writers of such comments know they are writing semi or borderline sexist comments. Maybe they actually don’t; however, I think most do which is why when someone writes such a comment that person puts a winkie icon in the heading. Winkies basically say, “Hey, don’t take offense; it is a bit inappropriate, but it is kind of a tongue-in-cheek joke which is why I used the winkie icon.” That is like asking minorities to not take offense at a semi racist comment because of a winkie icon.
I realize that when I call BS on the BS remarks, I will probably get the following labels attached or hurled at me. “Radical Battle Seattle Hypocrite who needs a much thicker skin.” Or maybe comments like “Get a sense of humor, it was all a joke, you take things too seriously, you see sexism in male and female pronouns, it is just your imagination” etc. Okay, I can live with that. I can be put on someone’s “ignore” list, and I can use that ignore button if I want to. I also hope that I recognize absurdities that can occur like calling “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” a date rape song. Of course, that a stupid fringe reaction that I don’t support.
Hope that clarifies for you my objection to some of the comments that occur on this board.
