9/30/55 almost certainly. With dialogue almost certainly.

9/30/55 almost certainly.

I dunno, it was made in 1977, release should happen in a double-digit year like 2011 or 2022 if they want to be consistent.

But is there any other Rosenman LP that hasn't already seen a CD release? I can't think of any, and the synchronicity of the dates (which hadn't occurred to me until others on this thread pointed it out) makes this one even more likely.

I would point out that Varese premiered the dialogue-laden LP program of On Golden Pond on CD not that long ago, because that's all that was available.

100% correct! It’s available now

No mention of dialogue that I see...maybe it was possible to remove it, if t wasn’t baked into the music masters! I loved how Intrada was able to present that one cue dialogue-free from Goldsmith’s Patton album recording...

EDIT: on the track list I see narration mentioned just for the Main Title; was there more on the LP?

There is more narration (track 8 is also afflicted). And where there is orchestral music, it is sometimes punctuated by songs within the tracks, without the ability to program out those songs. What's left doesn't amount to much more than a few bits and pieces from East of Eden. I rushed and ordered this from SAE but I shall now cancel it.
Instead, I shall increase my pledge to the "Dial M for Murder" kickstarter by the price of this CD.

This has always been one of my grails -- so I ordered it almost immediately -- but was anyone else confused that the release date was supposed to be the 28th? It looks like Varese is already sold out (?!) So I placed an order with SAE along with another Rosenman I've wanted for a while.

Life is good! (And I totally understand that others will be frustrated with the included narration. It would have been great to have the music without voice over.) But I still love the album and an looking forward to replacing my lp.

It seems odd that a title like this could have sold out so quickly at 1500 units; could it be they announced it earlier than planned (due to the Sept 21/Sept 28 confusion) and just delayed it until next week?

Website error. It will be up this next Friday at 10AM (PT) to order. Had to delay it one week, these things happen. Enjoy some other cool releases until then smile

I will order this for sure! Now it's time for a release of the original tracks, though.

Though those two soundtracks have never been officially released

Nice, but somebody oughta do that wink

So, anything else besides this, Great Pumpkin, and the 40th Anniversary sampler coming from Varese this fall? Maybe something by Robert Cobert like the complete soundtracks for "Night Stalker" and "Night Strangler" (which are coming out on blu-ray)? "Trilogy of Terror" is also coming out on blu-ray.
