Lakeshore does this all the time, i.e., cancel an announced CD release at the last minute. It happens with Varese as well, but not as often. I find this very annoying. Why not let Amazon release a CD-R like they do with a number of Sony releases?
i am in my late 60s and I have no desire to download. I feel like I am returning to the pre-CD era, when only a relative few soundtracks were released on LP and tape. I have a mountain of CDs, so this phase out of the CD is a way for me to gently exit my lifelong collecting of film music on physical media.
