What happened? Where is it? What are the prospects for future releases from this label?

Nout heard here, Herrmann's releases may need more time, these are not small projects. I'm still waiting for a Fanderson release Doppelganger.

I don't think the problem is with the Herrmann estate. Stylotone was supposed to work with other composers' estates as well - including Henry Mancini. My guess is that their business "concept" didn't work out... if it were only the Herrmann release, Universal should include "The curse with the Marnie soundtrack" on the next Blu-Ray release...

Well, they are still selling the 4-track EP—I guess you're asking about a full score release, right?

someone asked for a Marnie update a week or two ago in an unrelated thread with the usual responses.
There's also an older thread, same thing.

It could be that their business model of selling individual scores as a package involving multiple platforms + documentation for a premium price was less successful than they'd hoped .

That would be my guess too. If Stylotone is out of business then I hope Intrada or another label will continue with the Herrmann etc. Last time I looked at the Stylotone site all the CDs/Packages were still available. If Stylotone does issue MARNIE I hope they just issue a $20 - $25 CD. Keep it affordable, easy and simple.

MARNIE is the one score that NO label can release!

I agree.....I don't want a load of unnecessary junk to clutter up the house. Just a CD or lossless download would be fine for me.

Agreed. Either of those options would be fine. I don't even have a vinyl player.

The Stylotone release of "Twisted Nerve" must have bankrupted Quentin Tarantino.

Well, if MARNIE still coming, and it will coming in same ugly form as Twisted Nerve, I simply will wait until I could get it for fair price, as I did 5 days ago with Twisted Nerve.
I know, I know - I said that I'll never buy this monster! But happily, I got CD (which I wanted) for just £16.20 (+£3.58 for shipping). Fair price for CD, IMO. All the rest is nice free bonus (and for that price I even don't bother, if I'll get cracked/broken LPs). Thanks Amazon for 48% discount! big grin
ps Amazon even provided tracking number for international shipping - so I can be sure that no-one will steal it during long journey to me )))

If the CD is naked in a cardboard sleeve, you'll have to buy a tyvek sleeve so the disc doesnt get scratched.... dealbreaker!
Oh, and thanks for letting us know AFTER the sale is over.

Not really. In fact the 7" vinyl sold out. There is more Stylotone coming. But for those of us who are delighted with the product so far the same time and care taken for the first items are being taken for all their product. So slow going.

The 7" vinyl TWISTED NERVE seems to available from retailers. If they're stuck with them, they might not stock future releases.

Assuming you are otherwise correct and not conjecturing, any news for a complete DEMON aka GOD TOLD ME TO (Frank Cordell)?

Not that I know of, they seem to be focusing on Herrmann right now. I only get this info in fits and spurts. All I know is they have so many projects and composers lined up they potentially could go for a long time.

Oh, and thanks for letting us know AFTER the sale is over.

I simply added it to my cart month or so ago, and some time later I found that the price was reduced.
Maybe you should try this method - it worked for me for numerous CDs. At Amazon UK, at least.

If they continue working at this pace Mancini and Herrmann alone will keep them busy for the next two decades. I'm not too fond of this - seems just like a lot of good releases being impossible for other labels because they are locked with Stylotone...
