Oh, and thanks for letting us know AFTER the sale is over.

I simply added it to my cart month or so ago, and some time later I found that the price was reduced.
Maybe you should try this method - it worked for me for numerous CDs. At Amazon UK, at least.

Do you think it was a personalized sale rather than a store-wide sale?

That's was my guess for some reasons:
1) Yellow edition was in my "save for later" list, and it was discounted. Black edition wasn't, and when I visited its page - there were no discounts at all. Same for another Stylotone - Khartoum. The offer was only for the title, which was in my "wish-list" for months;
2) I noticed same thing happened for at least 2 editions, which I ordered in 2015 - 8CD-set of Dark Shadows & Mancini's The Classic Soundtrack Collection - the price was normal, when suddenly it was reduced.
Funny thing about Twisted Nerve - I canceled my order 6 (!) times from last Sunday - they continued to reduced price after I placed order - it was something like -40% at first time, and all finished with -48% smile

IMPORTANT NOTE: I ordered all this items directly from Amazon EU S.a.r.L. ('cause they subtract VAT, and sometime this makes their offer more interesting), so I don't know, if it works with other sellers...

I have it on good authority they're still manufacturing kitchen sink replicas for the Herrmann release.....

Just heard recently there is a manufacturing problem. This may take a while.

Unfortunately, almost the same excuse had been given by Guenther Koegebehn on the Herrmann meassage board already in December 2016 (!) so that in the meantime - about 10 months later - I begin to doubt if it is really true:

"Marnie is on course for 2017.
AFAIK several physical production issues have delayed it, as originally an autumn 2016 was planned."

This is, of course, a big problem when you're doing these silly LP things and tying the CD to them: the backlog at the very few LP pressing plants is horrible - six months is nothing in terms of delivery of master to delivery of product. It's ridiculous. And of course I will be very interested to hear what it sounds like, since there are better sounding Twisted Nerve sources than what they used. That is, if it ever sees the light of day. I don't care who is running what company, but whoever's running this one clearly doesn't know how this should all be done. I'm not passing judgment on WHAT they're doing, but I am certainly passing judgment on the WAY they're doing it.
