Good things about Buck Rogers in the 25th Century;

The music for the pilot.

Bad things about Buck Rogers in the 25th Century

Everything else.

Speaking Erin Gray, she guest stars in the latest episode of Star Trek Continues.

Weird for us here in Australia to get the first bluray release of this series....but I'm not complaining! The Digital Bits review hits all the high points...and I have to agree, the eps look great. The upscaled movie version looks pretty good too-although Joseph Wiseman's credit in the opening titles is strange, considering he appears holographically for about 30seconds! The comic adaption also showed him appearing at the reception party where Buck and Ardala get down....was this ever filmed/shown? Anyway, it's a thumbs up for this set and I too look forward to someone extracting unreleased score from the movie and compiling a new score. Good luck with the sound effects though!

Aww, come on, the rest of the series had fantastic music. Both seasons.

Erin Gray

No argument there, she was amazing and one of my childhood crushes.

Erin Gray's breasts

She never really showed them. Actually, they appeared quite petite, so they emphasized her fabulous legs.

Well, that's just unfair. The model work was pretty great much of the time and there are some wonderful moments throughout the series. The first year was not something to be taken seriously and the second was, but didn;t have the stories to support it. I thought Gil Gerard was actually quite good in that second season.

Also, Hawk. Holy crap, his debut episode is my favorite of the entire series. It's a shame they didn't know how to use him after that. He was instantly Buck's best pal and always "on patrol."

But, then again, unlike 90% of people, I am a fan of this series and enjoy seasons.

Ending and Opening from the 2 part version of "Awakening"

Hopefully, should Mill Creek or someone release this in the US, I would hope the network version of the pilot would be included in its entirety. There are differences from the movie version here and there throughout the episode, not just the ending the opening. It was stuck at the end of the second season DVD set, obviously at the last minute, since it's not on the packaging. It's also a beat up 16mm print, but it's still great to have.

A model once told me that if it won't fit into a wine glass, it's too big.
I had to laugh at the mental image that gave me of casting sessions.

I like the fact that the producers gave Juanin Clay (WarGames) a shot at the role of "Wilma" in the episode "Vegas In Space." Talk about getting the best of both worlds. It's a good thing that wasn't the episode(s) with Gary Coleman, or I would have been torn whether or not to watch it.

Juanin Clay was one of those actresses who seemed familiar the first time you saw her, like you know her from somewhere. Kate Mulgrew had the same quality. Maybe they reminded me, subconsciously, of Katherine Hepburn.

Has anybody done this yet? smile
