Didn't know that Reubens wanted Elfman to score the movie, even before Burton was hired. Pretty cool.

It would be really cool if somebody would release a CD/mp3/vinyl record/cassette/wax cylinder/yak bak of the concert. All of the suites are remarkably unique listening experiences, both for the cross-stitching edits Elfman makes and for the new material he's incorporated. It would make for a fantastic double-album.

Great video. I hadn't heard the story that Reubens was the one who had helped to establish the working relationship between Elfman and Burton - a classic team, no doubt

It is being repeated on Halloween for those that missed it. At least on WNED. Check your local listings. Hope this gets to DVD/BluRay someday soon.

I thought it was an excellent program and wish I could've been there in person.

The Pee-Wee's Big Adventure suite brought a huge grin to my face - I'd love to see it released some day. smile
