If it is, I've blocked it out of my memory, Solium. I can recall NO instance of an 8-track tape being played in a movie, and if it was, it may be that I have the rare condition of 8-track blindness, where I simply can't see it even if it's on screen.

It's a TV show, but there is a quick insert in the S5 Rockford Files episode "Heartaches of a Fool", when Rocky slaps in a "Charlie Strayhorn" eight-track and then the Willie Nelson song of the same name plays over the soundtrack. This was 1978, when all that Country/CB radio stuff started to become popular in so many American TV series of the period. Hearing it gave me unwanted memories of stuff like BJ and the Bear and The Misadventures of Sheriff Lobo.

Now that I think about it, CHIPs had an entire episode about some thieves stealing eight-track decks out of custom vans on the beach. God, the dregs of late '70s TV...
