Both the OFFICIAL posters of THE OMEN and OBSESSION feature a silhouetted figure in the top left corner casting a shadow to bottom right which reveals something about the film.

Similarity in the poster imagery was there all along.

THE OMEN beat OBSESSION into the theaters by about 5 weeks.

Ahh... the good old times!

This brings to my mind the Music Nominees at the 1977 Oscar Ceremony (the scene from the Jerry Goldsmith documentary video). I remember Ann Margret saying:

"The nominees for Original Score are: Bernard Herrmann for 'Obsession', Jerry Goldsmith for 'The Omen', Jerry Fielding for 'The Outlaw Josey Wales', Bernard Herrmann for 'Taxi Driver', Lalo Schifrin for 'Voyage of the Damned'.

What a group!! All Masters!

I compare this to today's nominations... and just want to cry and sob in tears...

James Fitzpatrick says, about their version of Obsession:

Final mixing of new recording next week in 5.1 etc...

All the sleeve notes are done....but I am on the lookout for some decent quality photos of Bernard Herrmann...if anyone has any please email me at tadlowmusic@hotmail.com

I would rather have a new fresh recording from Tadlow of Obsession, but I may buy both versions.

i think i'll go for both too - i just adore Tadlow's rerecordings - they are as good as originals - in some instances - even better (both Conans, Lawrence)
