D*mn, that was close. Disappointing loss for us against the Chiefs 29-28, we gave away interceptions and couldn't complete at crucial moments. Puts us 7-5 and potentially not making the playoffs, but conversely that game was probably the last of the 'difficult' ones of what's left.
Ian, safe to say the Falcons at least have made it to the playoff!! Wahoo! QB Matt Ryan is having a career high year and is in the the thick of being MVP. While their defense is still sketchy, at least we can still put enough points on the board to help us when when we need to.
It also appears that our first game on the 14th in the divisional round is likely to be against either the Seahawks or Green Bay - I'm not looking forward to that game if it turns out to be one of those two
The Detroit Lions beat the Falcons by one point at the end of their London game in 2014. It was the first Falcons game (and last, so far) I actually went to. I'll have to visit the States to actually go to games otherwise.
Friendly rivalry. My friend who supports the Raiders has a cousin who supports the 'Hawks, and it's friendly rivalry between us whenever they play against the Falcons.
Dont watch shoulderpads chuckball but...i can appreciate the seahawks guy's one-handed touchdown catches in last nights game shown on our sky sports news channel in uk.
Well, that gets us through, sorry Joan. Now it just remains to be seen if any more games will be played in the Dome, and that depends on the result of GB@DAL tomorrow. I'm not enamoured with the idea of us playing Green Bay again, but i don't know how we would fare against the 'boys.
The Texans@Patriots game was always going to be a bit one-sided. I was more surprised by the Falcons showing so well against the Seahawks, but the 'hawks injuries really seemed to be an issue. I would think that the Packers@Cowboys game will probably be more evenly matched, and the Steelers@Chiefs game should be more even too, I imagine.
Too many of the playoff games this year have been somewhat one-sided. It was good to get a game with an even balance, though I'm not hopeful of our (Falcons') chances of beating the Packers but hopefully it will be an entertaining and worthy game for the last one in the Georgia Dome.
It's looking highly likely that we're going to lose our OC to the 49ers. It's a pity, because there seemed to be a good rapport building between him and Matt Ryan. Hopefully we'll send him off with a decent performance in our last game(s).
