The Raiders pulled one out against the Panthers, 35-32. Of course, Oakland was winning 24-7 at halftime. Either way, I'm happy, as this means the Raiders will finish above .500 for the first time in a long time. Next weekend I'm taking my daughter to Atlanta to see her Falcons take on the Chiefs as a present for her 12th birthday. (My wife graciously decided to stay home with our 6-year old son.) I will definitely be a Falcons fan that day as I hope they crush the Chiefs. The biggest concern with the Pants game was Carr's injury. But the fact he got back into the game and got the win hopefully means his finger will be OK. I wouldn't bet on the Falcons beating the Chiefs. I hope they do, but bearing in mind we lost to the Eagles I wouldn't like to say any game is a sure win for us. From what I understand, Carr's injury shouldn't make him miss any time. However, if he can only operate from the shotgun, it really limits the type of plays Oakland can run. Buffalo is coming to town next week, and they are no pushover. I don't expect the Falcons to beat the Chiefs. I certainly hope they do, because not only will it help my Raiders, but it will make my daughter very happy!
