I just remembered that I heard on a BBC radio programme some while back that Debbie Wiseman is a Patriots fan. Now I'm not big on the Pats, but kudos for having an NFL team she supports. Do 'we' know what football teams other composers support (if any)?
#$%@#$&*!! Blurgh, petuie, etc. Darn Seahawks. 10 penalties. Seriously? I should drive to Seattle and kick some Seahawk butt.
Player gets a penalty for hugging referee. LOL You think that's bad? Raiders beats record for most penalties in a single game in NFL history- and still won.
Close call. 32-33 GB @ ATL. Falcons got the 'luck' this week
Mind you, we're first in points for but second-last in points against at this point in the season. So we've got the 'best' offense and almost the 'worst' defense in the league. Go figure. But at least no-one can say our games aren't entertaining
I noticed that Raiders penalties stat too. Quite astounding. Some games seem predictable and boring (anything with Patriots with Brady at the helm), but there are others which keep the excitement going: Skins vs Bengals was a first overtime and first draw in the 'international' games, and decent points on the board for the teams too.
OK, that'll do. 43-28 @ TB, and now almost a week and a half break before we tackle the Eagles on the road. Feet up, rest up, before the bye and then see how the last 6 games go
Hi TPC. The friend who introduced me to NFL is a Raiders fan. He's pretty happy they're doing well this season, compared to the last decade or so.
I've been a fan since they won their first Super Bowl back in 1977 (I was 7 at the time). After the loss in Super Bowl 37, they really went into a tailspin. It was really tough to watch them during that time, but now I'm glad to see they're on the rise again. My wife jokes with me by saying she doesn't remember any time they were good.
No game for the Falcons this week as it's a bye, but I was dismayed to see the Buccs beat the Chiefs - I'd hoped the Chiefs could keep the Buccs to 4-6 but instead they're now 5-5 and closing in on us.
