These lists obviously vary, and it always and highly depends on the moment someone asks, but if you do these lists now and then over the years, it is always interesting to see if movies change. So "favorites" -- as I understand it here -- are not necessarily "best" movies... favorites are those movies you never mind seeing again and probably have watched multiple times before. "Favorites" are those movies you force on your dates and potential mates... "favorites" are those movies that you buy, and probably buy multiple times if a better, remastered version comes out. I have put some thought into this some time ago for other reasons, so I can now more or less quickly pick "5" from among a larger roster of clear favorites, who are not weighed against each other. Just 5 favorite films that are very dear to me. With these things in mind, my favorite five movies (in chronological order) are: 1. THE BIG COUNTRY (William Wyler, 1958) 2. C'ERA UNA VOLTA IL WEST (Sergio Leone, 1968) 3. CHINATOWN (Roman Polanski, 1974) 4. BLADE RUNNER (Ridley Scott, 1982) 5. SE7EN (David Fincher, 1995) As always, favorite movies are subject to change without notice.

Mine are JURASSIC PARK, RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK, JAWS, E.T. and EMPIRE OF THE SUN. Let me guess your favorite director. :-) Hey how are you? Yes, Spielberg used to be my favorite director but now it's George Miller. I'm just super tired because I just moved and I have both books and CDs, so I'm tired. George Miller hit it out of the ballpark with MAD MAX: FURY ROAD. How are you?
