With one or two exceptions, you are all numbskulls who dwell on Hollywood fodder as if that were the only cinema that ever existed. HOW can you leave out Bergman? My absolute favourite Bergman film is CASABLANCA. I keep reading about the making of CASABLANCA, how everyone was breaking up laughing at the ridiculousness of the plot. And, that several different endings were filmed. In all of these so-called "special edition" releases of this movie, on various formats, how come no one has thought to include any of these deleted outtakes? Wonder if they still exist....

My top 5 favorites Although, technically, I have a 3-way tie for number 1, based on the amount of times I have seen them, and can continue to see them. Plus, I can never decide which one I like the very best. 1.THE SOUND OF MUSIC 1.THE BIRDS 1. VILLAGE OF THE DAMNED (1960) 2. THE MAN WHO SHOT LIBERTY VALANCE 3. AIRPORT 4. BLOW OUT 5. THE TROUBLE WITH ANGELS

TO MGH- NIGHT OF THE DEMON-58- it would be up there on my horror genre list too. One of my favorite moving-going experiences, was seeing this film (CURSE OF THE DEMON) during its original US release, on a double-bill with THE REVENGE OF FRANKENSTEIN. Actually, a rare case of a double-feature being the same genre. More often than not, double and triple features showed films from varying genres, to attract the largest audience. It was also rare that we saw a double-feature of films from the same release year. Often the second film was an older one.

I'm way too much of a movie fiend to narrow it down to 5, but, off the top of my head, these films will always be contenders in my best/favorite of all time list, if I ever make such a thing: Andrei Rublev La Dolce Vita The Hudsucker Proxy Savage Messiah The Tree of Life I don't even have a Powell & Pressburger on there. Nor anything pre-1960. And no 1970s American filma of that classic decade. This is impossible!

Ok, i'l play - again! All 60s and 1 70s 1 wild bunch 2 the good the bad the ugly 3 spartacus 4 where eagles dare 5 godfather My 5 hasnt changed much since 2014, although i think i'd realistically include Lawrence of Arabia at 4 and retain Godfather at 5. Still adore eagles but my appreciation of Lawrence has grown. So hard to leave out 50 other movies. Lol
