I'm not convinced that the title is literally Boom! I think it was more of an exclamation of relief of the title being approved.... I've never seen the movie but from the wikipedia description it sounds like an odd choice for a first date movie.

Oh sorry, I thought he had confirmed it was 'Boom!'. You could be right.

People sometimes though have strange choices for their first date movie. For example, the first movie I took my wife to see was '1492 - Conquest of Paradise'. And she promptly fell asleep during it. She still married me thoughwink

Maybe because she hasn't seen most of it, if she would have, well who knows how it might have ended ;-)

You guys are too funny. Good thing I didn't write Shazam! Or Whoo Hoo. wink

I was just expressing joy and excitement.

A. We are not ones for clues

B. I would not have announced one of our Black Friday titles so far in advance unless it was mega pricey like Trek last year.

In perpetuity means Varese still holds the rights and you can't do a CD of it. Obviously in this case they didn't hold onto the rights, or they lost them. Unless they've started to sell (or however it works) rights to labels now, behind the scenes.

They didn't have those rights in perp. Same with a few other Paramount titles.

Top Gun, right? big grin

No, Top Gun and the BHC movies are off limits for now.

That was far more serious of an answer than I deserved. Thanks!

I had no idea what that particular phrase of 'internet slang' meant and had to google it. Is this what the kids are getting down with these days?

AUTOGRAPH EXCLUSIVE TO www.lalalandrecords.com
DA VINCI’S DEMON’S: COLLECTOR’S EDITION (2-CD SET) SNS4008
Music by Bear McCreary

STARTS SHIPPING OCT 22nd
RETAIL PRICE: $21.98

La-La Land Records has been allotted 360 autographed units of this title. Once they are sold out, they are gone for good.

Regular, unsigned copies can be purchased at amazon.com

Bear McCreary’s sweeping orchestral score for Da Vinci's Demons, featuring the Emmy® Award-winning Main Title Theme, was meticulously researched to accurately represent the time period, without being bound to it. The score combines orchestra, Renaissance instrumentation, choir and ethnic soloists with the renowned Calder Quartet and surging contemporary synthesis. “For Da Vinci's Demons, I looked to the real-life Leonardo for inspiration. He famously wrote backwards and forwards, so I decided to write music for him in the same way," said McCreary. "I wanted to write the Main Theme as a musical palindrome, so it sounds the same whether played forwards or backwards. The challenge was to balance that intellectual idea with the dramatic needs of the story. I think the end result works beautifully and would make Da Vinci proud." This Collector's Edition double CD features 12 bonus tracks not available on the digital album.

I'm thinking that one of the titles, possibly the 8-disc collection, will be some sort of soundtrack from the DC Animated Universe.
Kristopher Carter recently posted on Facebook:
"Reviewing artwork and audio masters to TWO different multi-disc sets of soundtracks coming out in the near future. Both have been requested by fans for quite some time now, so very excited they will finally be released. More details soon! XD"

and when asked if they were DCUA titles, he responded, "Maybe, David.... more details SOON, when I can officially say!!!! "

Plus, LLL posted the other day that the 8-disc box set is finally approved and sent off to the printers. This very well could be a collection of music from the DCAU, as there have been many TV shows with several season each. Here's a list from Dynamic Music Partners' website of DC shows they've scored:

Legion of Super Heroes (Warner Bros.)
Teen Titans (Warner Bros.)
Justice League Unlimited (Warner Bros.)
Justice League (Warner Bros.)
Batman Beyond (Warner Bros.)
The New Batman/Superman Adventures (Warner Bros.)
Superman: The Animated Series (Warner Bros.)
Batman: The Animated Series (Warner Bros.)

The DCAU album releases have been and most likely will continue to be focused on one series per set, as the Batman: Animated Series. MV stated in a prior thread that they are planning sets for the other DCAU series but its doubtful that they would group multiple series in one set.

Could it be The Six million Dollar Man series of the Adam West Batman series they were talking about?

Considering LLL liked your Facebook comment also, it does seem like a Tales from the Crypt boxset to me.

Very exciting news!

I'm betting one of those multi-disc sets is going to be LLL's Superman. As for the other? I would say Batman: The Animated Series, but Carter isn't credited on any of the first 65 episodes -- the remainder of which were earlier said to be in consideration for Vol. 3. Unless Vol. 3 might include The Adventures of Batman & Robin as well? Definitely a possibility. Carter's other set could also be Justice League...or even Batman Beyond. (I am really hoping Batman Beyond is in consideration for future release...)

Whatever they are, I am so ready for more DCAU.
