It's used as the introduction to the Paris scene. Such a lazy composer, isn't he?

I hate to ask, but is there a chance for a re-issue of "Until September"? It's a lovely score and Barry re-used the main theme in "A View To A Kill"... I'm sure you're not alone here! Given that StarCrash was just re-issued, I would guess we'll see Until September at some point. It might be a good time to sell your old Silva copies . Alex Wasn't there an edit to the opening of one of the tracks? I seem to recall that the msters were damaged and a track had to be faded in. If Until Septemeber was reissued, perhaps a the vinyl could be used to restore that missing track opening? Anyway, very excited about getting my hands on Starcrash. "Launch Adrift" is easily in my top 3 favorite Barry tracks ever!

You might be referring to StarCrash - there's a track that was damaged (available on the LP), so the producers put an alternate, very similar but missing a few bars. Alex FYI, To be honest Mr. Barry Cheated a bit on seqenece this in the first place. The track is made of three parts 1.) The First section is pretty much ESCAPE INTO HYPERSPACE reused 2.) The Mid-section (Which was damaged) is really just a good amount of the Main Title reused, what was missing was a few vamped bars to fit the picture 3.) The Third section it appears to be written for the end of the scene... Given the film, I don't blame him for not spending that much time on it.... Ford A. Thaxton

A version of the story goes that the filmmakers told Barry the special effects and overall look of the film would improve. Whatever happened, it definitely goes down as one of the worst film choices ever made by a high-profile composer. This and 90% of Goldsmith's projects. Alex Well, in all fairness, let's change that percentage to, oh, maybe 80%. I'm looking forward to hearing this- I listened to Barry's MOVIOLA recording today for the first time in a long time and really enjoyed it. Every bit.
