I hate to ask, but is there a chance for a re-issue of "Until September"? It's a lovely score and Barry re-used the main theme in "A View To A Kill"...
Umm...you're mistaken. Barry NEVER reused that theme in A VIEW TO A KILL.
I suggest the use of a Q-tip before listening next time.
James
It's used as the introduction to the Paris scene.
Okay. I got out my Q-tip and you're right. I misunderstood what you meant at first and thought you were saying it was the same theme.
It's about a 15 to 20 second track and arranged in a very grand fashion. Too bad it didn't make the CD.
Much as I love John Barry, I must admit that "Starcrash" is one of my least favorite Barry scores. It's a bit dreary. Still better than a lot of modern film music, but a bit dull by Barry standards.
Wow, I can't believe how cool the inserts are for STARCRASH... Mark Banning actually surprised me and found some key art I'd never seen for this movie before.
I don't think this dopey movie has ever had such lavish treatment!
BSX sure didn't pull any punches with this one. STARCRASH is an outstanding score, one of my favorites by the maestro, and the sound quality of this release is superb. There are some great shots inside the booklet and on the back cover (one of which reminds me of a classic Eddie Murphy line: "Have a Coke and a smile and shut the fu@< up!" ). As MikeJ noted, the illustrations are fantastic, especially the one behind the CD tray...bottoms up!

Can you tell us what that 7 minute bonus suite made up of? Thanks.
