Is this something official?
It seems to be an 8 tracker with over 70 minutes of music (different versions of the Madonna songs and some Leonard music

Considering they can't even spell Archival correctly, I doubt it.

There is something special about it: Christopher Walken with a mustache.

Geez, calm down. If you care to read all the posts, then you'll see this thread is about far more than that particular CD.

well, your opinion doesn´t count...we are discussing a score and asked if it was a boot or not...no reason to close this thread as we came to the conclusion it wasn´t legit and tha´t´s it...go play moderator somewhere else thank you very much...

and as this obviously wasn´t legit...it´s no harm to post "homemade covers" here, Is it???????

My "humble" opinion counts as much as yours, dear sir. This is a discussion forum.

I am not here to play moderator BUT the man who pays for this forum to be available on the internet is also a well established record producer.

Consequently it allows you to discuss various subjects on film music. But please, no boots...
First breath is totally right when he says this thread is about far more than that particular CD.

ps : AT CLOSE RANGE is a great score.

I finally saw AT CLOSE RANGE for the first time a couple weeks ago. I have a few reservations about the way the third act runs roughshod over the quiet, unsettling momentum built in the first two acts, but overall I enjoyed it a lot. The performances by Penn and Walken are astonishing. Walken's got great comedic chops and good for him for going that route late in his career, but there was a time when he was truly dangerous on screen.

Leonard's score plays a crucial role in the success of the film, lending it not only an ominous atmosphere but also an elegaic quality that's key in grounding the drama. It feels like the remembrance of a tragedy, which it very much is being based on a true story. Leonard's contributions in that regard were invaluable.

Even with so much repetition of the score's basic thematic elements, I'd love to see a full release. I could listen to variations on those themes forever.

I guess you're aware of the suite:

I still haven't found that "archival" disc mentioned earlier in the thread, with the 19 minute "underscore" track. I wonder if it even exists..

My favorite cue is this one minute theme. One of the strongest film music moments EVER:

I have come across this "underscore" suite track, and it seems like it's just a rip from the film itself. Unfortunately frown

Any hope for this?
I haven't seen the film, but I love the score as I have heard from the suite, and i also love the madonna song which is largely based on.
