I know it's challenging, but look at Harry Potter as an example.

That's a bad example, because that's ONE fictional world. Just as Disney Channel sitcoms all take place in the same fictional universe but are each individually their own show (yes, they are), the Marvel movies are basically several parts of a whole each with different requirements... so ultimately you can't reasonably expect them to all be of the same cloth (Kevin Feige's fondness for Brian Tyler notwithstanding). Remember, Stan Lee didn't come up with every single element* like J.K. Rowling did. The only real answer would be for the first composer who scored a particular character to have been signed to score each subsequent one, and we all know that didn't happen.

*Much as he'd like you to think he did. smile

It`s interesting how much Whedon always praises the composer and his music in the soundtrack liner notes (he wrote some of the most composer praising liner notes on the soundtrack albums of Serenity and The Avengers) and then for his next project he always uses a different composer.

You would have thought that scoring one of the highest grossing films of all-time would have propelled Silvestri back to the top of the "A" list

weirddddddddddddddd!, man

If anyone has seen the movie and knows the track order could you please tell us?

OK, I've seen it and here's my attempt at the correct track order:

#1 Danny Elfman - It Begins (Marvel logo and opening battle)
#2 Brian Tyler - Breaking and Entering
#3 Brian Tyler - Avengers: Age of Ultron Title
#4 Brian Tyler - Birth of Ultron
#5 Danny Elfman - Ultron Wakes
#6 Danny Elfman - Ultron-Twins
#7 Brian Tyler - The Vault
#8 Brian Tyler - Hulkbuster
#9 Danny Elfman - Farmhouse
#10 Brian Tyler - Darkest of Intentions
#11 Brian Tyler - Seoul Searching
#12 Danny Elfman - Can You Stop This Thing?
#13 Danny Elfman - Inevitability-One Good Eye
#14 Brian Tyler - Vision
#15 Brian Tyler - The Mission
#16 Brian Tyler - Uprising
#17 Brian Tyler - The Battle
#18 Brian Tyler - Outlook
#19 Danny Elfman - Avengers Unite
#20 Brian Tyler - Sacrifice
#21 Brian Tyler - The Last One
#22 Danny Elfman - The Farm
#23 Brian Tyler - Wish You Were Here
#24 Danny Elfman - New Avengers-Avengers: Age of Ultron

Tracks that I'm not sure about:
(or they're not in the film at all)

Danny Elfman - Heroes (not in the film)
Brian Tyler - Rise Together (I'm pretty sure this wasn't in the film)
Brian Tyler - Fighting Back (don't know, maybe in one of the battle scenes)
Brian Tyler - Keys to the Past (don't know)
Danny Elfman - Nothing Lasts Forever (don't know)

(plus I'm pretty sure 'One Good Eye' is not in the film)

I've made a 29 minute playlist of the Elfman cues… it's like we've got a mid-90s era Varese Sarabande release of the score!

ultron wakes is the part when he is a bodyless voice during the party, searching the internet.
one good eye is during the part when hawkeyes saves wanda and tells her to stay safe or become an avenger or at least part of it, nothing lasts forever would have been the second last track but has been replaced by silvestris a promise from the first score.rise together is a big mystery.fighting back should be somewhere, that brutal ending must be recognizable.keys to the past is in the film but i dont know where. i try to pay attention to the music next time i watch it.

btw extended cut with alternate ending announced by amazon.com.kinda needed.the movie has several rushed scenes and propably even recorded score for a few if not all of them.and the recording session will be pretty cool once they appear.

Thanks, I had just figured out the Ultron Wakes part as well. smile The others are likely good answers as well. The ending to Fighting Back is the same as the Title theme by Tyler from the beginning, that made me think it might've been an alternate version for the beginning scene. I don't remember hearing that particular part anywhere else.

I think Heroes is the end credit music and I thought Birth Of Ultron is the score for the bit where he searching the internet and ultron kills J.A.R.V.I.S

Heroes is the same theme as the end credit music, but it's a different version of it (particularly the end). Yes, Birth of Ultron is the first scene with Ultron (birth, internet, Jarvis), then Ultron Wakes is the scene where he crashes the party.

A little tip: if you click on "Special Code Legend" when writing a message you'll find out how to use spoiler tags, as despite the movie already having made half the money in the world some of us still haven't seen it yet.

Nope, it's the bit at the end where Quicksilver dies and Tony & co prevent annihilation.

Whether it's discernible or not depends on your ears and your equipment, but while they're both encoded at 256kbps, (and unless they've changed their standards while I wasn't looking,) Amazon is VBR and iTunes is not, and Amazon is mp3 while iTunes is AAC, so iTunes probably has the edge in sound quality.

Toutred20, now that you know how to use the spoiler function, could you go back and apply it to your original post?

As I've often said, if you actually have good enough hearing that you can discern between the extremely minimal difference in sound quality of two different high quality lossy rips, then you wouldn't want a lossy rip in the first place.

I don't think anything can make this album's sound quality pleasurable.
