I didn't notice any comment about this (my apologies if this has already been discussed), but another new release from La La Land that was featured at the Comic Con preview night was Mark Snow's music to both the Lone Gunment and Harsh Realm. It is a single disc, and is limited to 2000 units. I snagged a copy last night, and even got an autographed booklet!

Speaking of Comic Con releases, Batman sounds incredible. It was worth it for me just to hear "The Shootout", which is from the big action scene at Axis chemicals, which ends with Jack Napier becoming the Joker. Anyway, the whole score sounds great!

Do we know if the Lone Gunmen/Harsh Realm and Batman discs are supposed to make it to those of us not able to attend ComiCon?

Very glad to hear this! It'll look great next to my Millennium and (eventual) X-Files sets! smile Was there any word on when it'll be made generally available on the website?

And I actually believed MV when he said after ID4 he would never have a secret release again razz

Excellent news! At 2,000 units this will go quick! I hope there are autographed copies on the website when it goes up for sale!

I doubt it's a release limited to just Comic-con, they wouldn't be able to sell all 2000 units there, so for sure it will available on their site soon.

MV, anything you can tell us about this release?

I doubt it will be this week what with Batman, Krull & Predators. Maybe they will release it generally on a quieter week.
Maybe they will hold them over and release them alongside X-Files.

I'm sure we will find out sooner or later.

Nice release, and I will be getting it, but it aint X-Files.

Cool thanks!

Would you mind posting the track list, or at least approximately how much time is dedicated to each show?

Have you listened to it yet? How are the liner notes?

I hope La-La doesn't get mad at giving some info out....

18tracks for Lone Gunmen
15tracks for Harsh

TT: 77:42

I have not had a chance to listen to it yet. The notes look QUITE extensive which is great with lots of photos. I haven't had a chance to read them either, so darn busy!!

This is all the info I will divulge until later, I don't want Matt and MV coming to my house and spankin me.

Haha, I'm sure they won't get mad about people discussing a CD that they themselves sold with their own hands!

But thanks for sharing what you did!

Can anyone familiar with these series comment on what the music is like? I vaguely remember seeing one or two episodes of each but I cannot for the life of me recall Snow's scores. Are they at all similar to Snow's work on the X-Files and Millennium?

PS. MV if you're reading this, any word on when this disc will be available to those of use who couldn't make it to Comic Con?

PPS. Thanks for the release of Batman and Krull!

Is this going to be available to purchase commercially? (not on eBay)

This will be coming out some time in August... have not decided when yet. Possibly Aug 10. If not then possibly Aug 24. We are drowning in Predakrullman orders... but it's a good thing.

And yes, it will be signed by Mark Snow. smile

Hey drivingmissdaisy,
Have you had a chance to give the disk a spin? Can you give us any impressions?
Please pardon my curiosity! I'm a huge Mark Snow fan and am chomping at the bit to get this release!

Cheers,

Chris.
