Every time I play this score again, it just grows in stature. And I already thought it was masterpiece to begin with. It just oozes class and quality. The moods it conjures are amazing, from dark trepidation to folksy/bucolic refrains, all cemented by that brilliant, long lined main theme that adapts itself well to the many scenarios Elfman utilises it for. A bonafide classic of film scoring. And a bloody good film too.

Agreed on all accounts. My favourite Elfman score and a cracking film. I remember seeing this at the showcase in Peterborough in 1993 with the future Mrs K and immediately bought the cd.
