Up to 40%-50% off select titles. I can’t seem to post a direct link just go to their homepage and look for it.

Anyone partake in this? I grabbed three titles, some I wanted were sold out already. Don’t they have shipping issues? Anyway I took a chance and hope I get what I ordered!

Problem with all recent Varese sales (and I even don't mention site glitches, with which people missed items, problems with manufacturing, etc) - they selected titles which I already own or have no interest at all frown

I looked but that's as far as I went. I think I have all I want on there.

It’s funny, some of the titles I picked up were released decades ago!
Talk about procrastinating.

I still have fond feeling for VS, but it is a very cherry pick kind of sale, not like the LLL, everything in stock on sale

Maybe they should have called it the “2023 Cherry Pick Sale?”?

Looking this over, it sure *seems* like an “everything in stock sale”, setting aside their most recent releases (which LLL themselves will often exclude, though not with their current 21% off sale).

So if we are to believe the “Gone for Good” narrative, James Horner’s Aliens is about to go out of print?

Thxs, I was following a link in an email on my iPhone. Didn't want to copy and paste that since it was a redirect.

Yeah, I was curious about that. Aliens was one of the titles I missed out on.

I ordered Grusin's Murder by Death (a long-time favorite) coupled with The Pursuit of Happiness (which will be all new for me).

I miss the Robert Townson era

But during that era, Townson was a regular punching bag around here!

But I guess that's how these things work. Star Trek fans hated Rick Berman, until the Alex Kurtzman era of Trek made them miss him.

Varese has done great work over the decades, along with some pretty big screw-ups ("The Thorn Birds" comes to mind). I still have more Varese CDs than any other label.

I'm still waiting for delivery on the order I placed in July.

Yes, I call it "each subsequent one is worse than the previous one" rule.
With few exceptions of course, but they still confirm main rule.

Some good items on that list, but everything becomes completely pointless when the shipping for a single CD is twice the price of the CD itself ($13). There are no such things as sales anymore. frown
