Seriously (sorry, these rash of too-early centenary celebration threads are starting to drive me bonko), a Delerue respective would be a great idea two years from now. Delerue, and the other composers coming up on 100 years, are receding in time and we need to keep their glorious compositions alive and vital. This board should have a few threads during the week of the relevant film music composer's centennial highlighting several of their best scores; not only to revisit their music, but to encourage younger film music fans to discover them.
Two concerts will take place April 11 & 12 2025 in Paris. The programs include French film scores only as well as two concert pieces (one is the mouvement concertant, one of Delerue's favorite). Sadly, no scores from his American movies.
