THE FLASH---new trailer released for the DC superhero movie.

SHEROES---trailer released for the female-led action movie.

BEETLEJUICE 2---photo shows a church on the film set in Buckinghamshire, England. The sequel's working title is BLUE HAWAII.

THE MANDALORIAN---Pedro Pascal confirmed he only provides the voice for The Mandalorian while Brendan Wayne and Lateef Crowder actually wear the costume and act on the series, "There was an extended amount of experimentation, being in the suit for a lot of it, and frankly, my body wasn’t up for the task as far as, like, the four months of it. But I was in it. I was in it a significant amount, an elastic amount. But now we’ve figured it out, which is super cool, and amazingly, it gave me the opportunity to be able to go and do something else."

STAR WARS---Natalie Portman was asked if she might return as Padme Amidala after Hayden Christensen returned as Anakin Skywalker in the OBI-WAN KENOBI miniseries, “I have no information on [coming back]. No one has ever asked me to return, but I’m open to it.”

BLACK WIDOW---Florence Pugh commented on how her fans reacted to her co-starring in a Marvel superhero movie, "So many people in the indie film world were really pissed off at me. They were like, ‘Great, now she’s gone forever.’ And I’m like, no, I’m working as hard as I used to work. I’ve always done back-to-back movies. It’s just people are watching them now. You just have to be a bit more organized with your schedule."

FRASIER---Kelsey Grammer commented on if characters from CHEERS might have cameos on the revival series, "We might see some of them…"

THE FAMILY STALLONE---Paramount+ renewed the series for Season 2.

DOCTOR WHO---Indira Varma will play The Duchess in the upcoming season. Varma played Suzie Costello on TORCHWOOD.

TRIVIA---May 24, 2023 is the 82nd anniversary of the Royal Navy battlecruiser HMS Hood being sunk by the German battleship Bismarck in World War II. British actor Robin Hughes was a signalman who was supposed to board the Hood as it set sail to hunt for the Bismarck, but the day before, he was reassigned to officer's training school which saved his life. Of the Hood's crew of 1,418 men, only three survived. Hughes said in in an interview he was "four".
Hughes is probably best known to American audiences for appearing in THE TWILIGHT ZONE episode "The Howling Man" in which he claimed he was an innocent traveler, who was falsely imprisoned by mad monks in an ancient castle. After tricking a man to free him, he revealed himself to be The Devil, who was now free to continue inflicting misery and suffering on mankind.

Jon Pertwee also. He left the Hood the day before her final voyage.

LITEFOOT:

Thanks for the info.
A long time ago, my trivia about SINK THE BISMARCK was that Esmond Knight, played the commander of the HMS Prince of Wales. In reality, Knight was on the Prince of Wales with the Hood and lost an eye when the Prince of Wales was hit by the Bismarck.

Another bit of trivia - Esmond Knight was in Doctor Who two stories before Pertwee made his debut!

I don't know who the SKULL ISLAND cartoon is aimed at, because today's kids aren't going to go for such limited 2D animation, and it seemed too shallow and juvenile to attract grownups.

The STRANGE NEW WORLDS trailer confused the heck out of me. Most of it looks like a computer-animated series, but some of it looks like live action with actors. In particular, most shots of Mr. Spock looked like crude computer animation to me. He didn't look real until his final scene, giving the salute. Captain Pike was either the actor, or very good animation. The show has a weird look!

Skull Island would have made a great big-budget feature film. I thought it was the best thing about Jackson's King Kong. Forget Kong; a motely group sail to Skull Island looking for the treasure that's supposed to be there ( there was all those ruins of temples/tombs around the island) & there's all those dinos & giant insects ect. it would have made an enjoyable film if done right.

I love 2D animation but hate the way this looks. I can't tell if its really 2D animation. Could be 3D made to look like 2D. Then again it could be done in Flash for all I know. Just not a fan of how 2D animation looks nowadays. I miss the organic pencil animation lines and don't like all the computer filters they render this stuff with nowadays. Same thing with comics. I haven't collected or read comics since the 70's but I'd take a limited color palette, misaligned off set printing and cheap paper stock over the slick, glossy over rendered comics they have today.

This is just dreadful. These characters act like they're 15 years old. But then again I think that's the maturity level of people writing this stuff nowadays.

There is a generation of fans who were fond of the late 90s Godzilla animated series that the Emmerich film spawned (it was considerably better than the movie) and the Monsterverse itself has a decent cult fanbase. It is made for the people who want to seek out content like that which is available on the mess that is Netflix. It was made by animators and other employed artists so we can also assume it was made to help support their incomes and keeping a roof over their families' heads and their children fed. Probably its most noble deed which goes unchecked when we, the people who don't feel it was made for us nor have any stake in getting paid from it, never seem to recognize.

So it was made to keep animators employed? Probably underpaid over worked animators in India or something.
No wonder companies are losing money.
