6am-8am.... Pre-heat oven and bake a Mrs. Smith's Pumpkin Pie. 8am-9am.... While pie is cooling put on DVD of A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving while doing laundry. 9am-3pm.... Watch The Godfather and The Godfather Part II back-to-back. A tradition of mine. 3pm-4pm.... Drive to my brother's home (with pie) in Warrenton, Va. to visit for a few hours and enjoy dinner. 8pm-9pm.... Drive home. 9pm-midnight.... Speculate with other nerdy FSM members about what the BF titles will be.

Charlie Brown and the Godfather. What a double feature!
"Don't tell me you don't have any turkeys int the UK!" ------------------- We do. But they get about an extra 4 weeks to live here (Christmas Day = Turkey...Family Get-Togethers...etc).
Just hoping and praying the Wife and I are well enough (non-contagious, anyway) for our son to join us for Thanksgiving dinner. I've been battling bronchitis for 2 weeks now. I'm much better, don't know how I got it, when I haven't had a cold or anything, just started coughing like crazy. Wife has a really bad head/chest cold.
Also hoping the turkey will be good - and safe. I bought it Nov 4. It's fully cooked and smoked, wrapped very tightly in plastic. The use/freeze by date is 12/22. I've kept it in the fridge - the staff at the store assured me that it's ok. Don't know why the store puts them out so early, and by the next week they're all gone and won't be back until next year. I'll probably buy a frozen or fresh (if any left) turkey breast just in case.
T-day is forecasted to be a nice, warm day, so hopefully we can get outside and walk thru our woods before dinner.
I didn't really have any specific plans, but now that I've read Adam's post above, watching Godfather and Godfather Part II sounds like a good idea.
Sure, why not?
Someone needs to digitally replace the horses head with a bloody mutilated turkey.
Now, there's a concept! Sends a strong message, for sure!
I'm just relieved to know that according to the Wapo's article, my choice of turkey for Thanksgiving is much more climate-friendly than the burgers/steaks with which I celebrate July 4th and Labor Day! Now I can happily nod off in my recliner after a belt-loosening repast and not be all guilt-ridden about my choice of climate-friendly turkey! Who's with me?

Nothing. No thanksgivings in this part of the world; just any odd Thursday for us.
Yeah, I remember about 30 years ago, when some of our European associates were over here for training the week of Thanksgiving and I wished them "Happy Thanksgiving" that Wednesday at the end of the day. Got some funny looks before I realized my gaffe. They were cool about it, though. They were allowed to take an entire month off in Summer for "Holiday" and we in the US got Thanksgiving day off. Sweet deal, huh?
Hey Henry, I heard my employer is going to give us employees who have to work Thanksgiving Day a Thanksgiving meal on the job. So I'll be able to enjoy some turkey, mash potatoes and stuffing on my break.

I hope you have a great Thanksgiving my friend! My grocery store is closed all day tomorrow, and it's just my parents and me for Thanksgiving, my aunt moved to Utah earlier this year unfortunately.
