BENJAMIN FRANKLIN---Apple TV+ released a photo of Michael Douglas starring in the eight-part untitled miniseries.
STAR WARS---now that Patty Jenkins' ROGUE SQUADRON movie is apparently on the back burner, Taiki Waititi commented on the status of his STAR WARS movie, “I’m trying to write the STAR WARS idea at the moment. I’ve got to see how that goes, because once I submit it, that might determine when it gets made or if it gets made, even.”
He added, “I am cool as well to take six months off and just go hang out with my kids.”
EXTRACTION---Joe Russo commented on the Netflix sequel, “It’s great. It’s very different from EXTRACTION 1, which we like. It’s its own movie in that regard. It has a different color schematic. It’s set in a different part of the world. It has a different pace, a different tone than the first one.
And that, to us, is an interesting way to approach serializing a story, is that it’s more surprising and unexpected, and you’re not going to get the exact same movie that you got the last time out. So we’re really excited about it, and we think it was beautifully shot. Hemsworth’s fantastic in it. And we’re excited to share it with audiences.”
THE WALKING DEAD---photo from Season 11, Part 3 shows a gruesome zombie attack.
GODZILLA AND TITANS---the cast and synopsis were released for the Apple TV+ live-action series. The synopsis says, “Following the thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that leveled San Francisco and the shocking new reality that monsters are real, the untitled Monsterverse series will explore one family’s journey to uncover its buried secrets and a legacy linking them to the secret organization known as Monarch."
Anna Sawai--Cate, a former schoolteacher and G-Day survivor who travels to Japan to settle family affairs but instead uncovers a family secret.
Kiersey Clemons--May, an American ex-pat with a roguish exterior that she uses to protect herself as well as others.
Joe Tippett--Tim, an office drone who dreams of secret agent adventure.
Elisa Lasowski--Duvall, an expert operative with unwavering confidence in herself and her skills.
THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER---Christian Bale said some cameos were deleted from the final movie, “I got to work with Peter Dinklage, that’s not in the final film, but he’s fantastic. I got to work with Jeff Goldblum, he’s not in the final film either. As you see, a lot of stuff ends up on the cutting room floor even though it is beautiful brilliant stuff.” Also, Lena Headey was not in the final movie, but she is being sued by her former agency for its part in getting her the deleted cameo.
MAGNUM P.I.---NBC picked up the cancelled CBS series for two more seasons.
THE MOON REPRESENTS MY HEART---Gemma Chan will star in this Netflix miniseries based on the upcoming sci fi novel about two British-Chinese kids who use their time travel abilities to search for their missing parents.
FIELD OF DREAMS---Peacock cancelled its planned tv series based on the Kevin Costner baseball movie.
DUNCANVILLE---Fox cancelled the series.
TOM SWIFT---CW cancelled the series.
TRIVIA---in THE NAKED GUN, Lt. Frank Drebin (Leslie Nielsen) had an embarrassing scene with Queen Elizabeth, but he redeemed himself when he saved her from being assassinated by Reggie Jackson at a baseball game. Leslie Nielsen met the real Queen Elizabeth at the Centennial Festival in Saskatchewan in 2005. When Nielsen shook her hand, he was unsure if she had seen the movie or not, "We simply looked at each other, there seemed to be an exchange of hidden meaning,"

I'm sure that why Hollywood films are so expensive, they spend a fortune filming tons of stuff that doesn't end in in the film. How's about starting with a good tight script, filming it & releasing the movie.

If the people in charge of 'Disney Star Wars' at the moment bottled it when they saw the early scenes of Lord & Miller's HAN SOLO film, JayDubya only knows what they will think when they get their peepers on what Waititi can offer to their Star Wars universe.
But I'm sure they'll let him write and prep and cast and start shooting said material before they sh!t themselves and pull the plug or get Ron Howard or Joe Johnston (or such like) to come in again and steady their perceived wobbling ship.
