There was Kamen and Folk on the recent list of composers Intrada said were coming soon, but damn, I was hoping for some new, premiere release over revamped Company Business and Toy Soldiers. But hey ho, I'm sure plenty of people want this stuff that I already own (shuffles away shrugging selfishly - try saying that fast).

This is a welcome re-release. Out of print for a while and on the used market went for huge bucks.
I guess it will depend on how much the new release is different from the old one. I am not that interested in the latest Kamen, since it doesn't really add much new material to justify spending so much - I am quite content with the old album. But speaking of TOY SOLDIERS, sure it is a fine score, but considering generous running time of the old album, how much is actually missing?
It's rather disappointing if this turns out to be just a straight reissue or expanded by like 5 minutes only while for example THE NEVERENDING STORY II needs revisiting and expanding much more than this one. But perhaps one day...

I think its safe to assume anything to do with The Neverending Story films is a legal mess.
Spielberg couldn't even get a reboot off the ground.

Maybe disappointing to you if you already have this release, but on the one hand it's a great score that's long OOP and it would be great to get it back in the marketplace for people who missed it way back when, and on the other hand if it sells well it could hopefully help move the marketplace towards other Folk releases like NEVERENDING STORY II.
Yes! I was hoping this was gonna be the title when I saw Roger post Folk's name in the upcoming release list. Like Company Business, T.S. is also in it's 30th anniversary.
The initial album was like 95% complete. I would re-buy it in a heartbeat with or without the previously unreleased 30 second Opening titles (that segues into Escape From Barranquilla) as well as a film edit of the end tiles. All could fit on one disc.
Do we know the date of when this will be released? This is a really magical score. Robert Folk is able to create a feeling of magic with his work that I do not get with other composers!

I mean, it's a pretty rare disc. Not even a single copy on Amazon. Three copies on Discogs, starting from about $75 shipped to the US.

The film came out in theaters in the US on April 26, 1991 so I would say right around this time 30 years ago the CD must have come out which would be a real coincidence that Intrada is releasing it at this time after all it is the 30th Anniversary of the movie.
