Finally got mine in and listening to it now! On Track 9, Miami Jump. I seriously love the improvements! Some parts of Hi-Jack seemed to have a lower volume and even so the sound quality is still heavily improved. I have been smiling from ear to ear since I was able to give this a spin. This score has huge sentimental value to me so it's more than just the music.

From my first listen I can tell how much more dynamic the sound is over the OST. It packs much more of a punch.

So, the unreleased portion of Hi-Jack where the Commercial airliner takes off from the runway and there's that epic guitar track. I really love how nicely it sounds. I didn't realize how great some of the unreleased material is. Previously, I said I would have just been happy with a remaster of the OST. Going through the unreleased tracks I take that statement back.

Into two minutes of Track 10 and I am loving it. That guitar is just all sorts of epic.

This was well worth the wait. I have to confess, I bought two copies of this score. One to open and add to my playlists. Another to keep in the packaging and display. Like I mentioned above, this score has very special sentimental value to me. I have used it so much for my fiction writing and wrote a few of my most favorite scenes to Too Many Notes, Not Enough Rests. Really thankful to Quartet for releasing this.

What are you folks' favorite tracks so far?

I'm on track 11 now. I will come back with a list of my favorites from this release when I finish.

Thanks to Zimmer's comments in the liner notes, I learned how this score was used as trailer music for the 1st POTC movie. As soon as I got to that "Too Many Notes" track, it finally clicked with me which portion was used and how it influenced the direction for that score.

I knew of the correlation between Too Many Notes and POTC, but I didn't know the whole back story. I love the creative process they used for constructing this score. Rather than trying to counteract the craziness of the film, they seemed to embrace it and just go all out! How cool is it to think that the seeds for The Rock, Crimson Tide, Gladiator, Pirates of the Caribbean, and others seemed to be planted from this score?

So here are my favorite tracks in no particular order -

Too Many Notes, Not Enough Rests
Bring The Cats - Hi Jack (Film Version)
Find Swoop-Ex. Chute-Foul Play
Terry's Dropped Out
Helicopter
Gift Wrap
After the Dub

Really though every track is great. This is one of those scores I will listen to on a drive or out for a run without having to hit the skip button.

Mine arrived from SAE today. Outstanding sound quality and a really fun score. I didn’t have the old version but I’m damn glad I got this one.

I need to brush up on this movie. All I remember about it is a coked-up Gary Busey.

I'll never forget Busey describing his successful landing from a skydive in a behind-the-scenes interview: "I landed perfectly, like a potato chip landing on the surface of a lake."

Yeah that sounds like Busey. Lol.

The sound quality very much improved from the old one. The volume issues have been fixed. It sounds as dynamic and beautiful as it does in the movie. This is by far my most favorite release since LLL's The World is Not Enough.

This amazing Zimmer score arrived yesterday and is since then on repeat. It's definitely one of Zimmers best works imo. Thanks to the booklet essay by Tim Greiving I also have now a better understanding of Zimmer's (and fellow composers) workflow. Very interesting.

My only complaint: I wish that the "playable" parts would be played by a real orchestra but I did't saw the film, maybe it's more fitting with samples..

But how ******* brilliant is this cue "After the Dub" at 9:57? And the strings at 2:16 in "Gift Wrap"... And the entire cue "Leedy Jumps" and "Too Many Notes"... bloody amazing...

This is hands down the best Zimmer score release this year. 11/10. would buy again. Hans, please do more film scores like this
