THE LORD OF THE RINGS---Amazon Studios released the synopsis for the tv series set during the Second Age, “Amazon Studios’ forthcoming series brings to screens for the very first time the heroic legends of the fabled Second Age of Middle-earth’s history. This epic drama is set thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, and will take viewers back to an era in which great powers were forged, kingdoms rose to glory and fell to ruin, unlikely heroes were tested, hope hung by the finest of threads, and the greatest villain that ever flowed from Tolkien’s pen threatened to cover all the world in darkness. Beginning in a time of relative peace, the series follows an ensemble cast of characters, both familiar and new, as they confront the long-feared re-emergence of evil to Middle-earth. From the darkest depths of the Misty Mountains, to the majestic forests of the elf-capital of Lindon, to the breathtaking island kingdom of Númenor, to the furthest reaches of the map, these kingdoms and characters will carve out legacies that live on long after they are gone.”

OBI-WAN KENOBI---Liam Neeson commented on if he would like to return as Qui-Gon Jinn for the Disney+ miniseries, "Sure, I'd be up for that, yeah".

As the T.Rex takes over Main Street, forcing the kids deeper into the jungle, the discovery that they may not be alone not only threatens their rescue but may uncover something more sinister."

REDEEMER---Matthew McConaughey departed the FX tv series so FX has decided to cancel its development.

ZACK SNYDER'S JUSTICE LEAGUE---Harry Lennix confirmed he is playing Martian Manhunter in the HBO Max four-part miniseries.

TRIVIA---in DIE HARD,the shocked look on Alan Rickman's face during Hans Gruber's fatal fall from Nakatomi Plaza was real.
Stunt coordinator Charlie Picerni said Rickman was on a platform 40 feet high with a rope attached to him. Picerni said Rickman was told he would be dropped on the count of three to a crash pad below, "But I told the stunt guys, let him go on one." This led to the shocked look on Rickman's face as he fell before he was expected to, which is what Picerni wanted.
Rickman does not remember the countdown, but he joked, "I look at the sight of some slightly incredulous producers when I said I would do it myself...They were very careful to make it my very last shot on the film."

Love, love, love Rickman.
Taken too soon.
Disgustingly too soon.

"Truly, Madly, Deeply"... just jaw-dropping good.

TRULY, MADLY, DEEPLY is a lovely film, much more adult in its views than GHOST, which came out the same year and totally eclipsed it in popularity.

Wait... Nielsen is charting streams? Since when? I keep hearing reports that streamers do their own... ahem... "record keeping".

Thirded. It's a very personable film free from the usual mechanics of Ghosts 101.

On Liam Neeson and Qui-Gon, sure. Excellent actor with great physicality and an appreciation for stories with a pulse. Just keep the quality high, and no Jar-Jars or Midichlorians, and no-one will get hurt.

    smile

One note though: don't tie everything to everything else. Tell exciting tales, and go where they go.

Neeson has returned for SW cartoon voiceover work, so it comes as no surprise that he would show up for Kenobi if asked. More prestige, bigger paycheck, etc.

Dang, Warlock! You're on a roll! From your lips to Disney's ear!
