I'm a little startled going through the listings, by how many of those I actually already own.

There's a few I'd passed on in the last sale that I'd been looking forward to finally getting- but I'm on an even stricter budget now and there are some recent releases I'd rather have more atm.

Plus SAE's priority shipping is, as always, enthusiasm dampening.

Will have to mull this one over a few days.
In the mean time I'm gonna spin some of the ones I forget I already have.

Time to see what titles I might have missed over the years!

Is it time that I actually start investing in all those Kaper scores FSM released?

Good opportunity to get big ticket items like the TV Omnibus, Ben-Hur, etc.

Definitely a number of titles I’m considering, but will wait to see what Intrada might release next week before I make any decisions.

As far as titles I’m considering, how does Untamed rank as far as Waxman’s repertoire is concerned (for the record, I already have The Silver Chalice)?

How about free shipping over $50? It'd be a better deal.

Looks like my last order with SAE was Fall 2005 and was the FSM Magazine Subscription credit CD order...

They should be happy to see another order 15 years later...

I'm a big fan of Waxman and really enjoy UNTAMED. Especially the opening music....

For me, worth it for this cue alone: http://www.filmscoremonthly.com/store/MP3/0404/21_AT_THE_BEACH.MP3

And yeah the Kaper releases are great. As for the rest, I'll copy and paste recommendations I made to a FB friend earlier today:

Re: Goldsmith -- I’m not a huge Gremlins fan actually (but if you are go for it as it’s a great package). Logan’s Run is brilliant but I’ve also found it to be an acquired taste because of the synths.
Poltergeist for sure. It’s incredible. Islands in the Stream is excellent. Twilight Zone: The Movie is a MUST. Is Rascals and Robbers (paired with Goldsmith’s The Homecoming) not in your collection? If you’re a Horner fan it’s a must, and the Goldsmith score is lovely too.

They aren’t expanded (just album reissues) but Under Fire and The Last Run are superb scores — listen to the samples. An under-the-radar but EXCELLENT Goldsmith you would probably otherwise overlook is Cain’s Hundred — check out the sound clips for that. It’s TV scoring that is feature film quality.

Some non-Goldsmith recommendations...
The Devil at 4 O’Clock is sadly not expanded but it IS my favorite George Duning score. Just incredible. Big Wednesday is the first big orchestral score by Poledouris. Where Eagles Dare is thrilling, my favorite Ron Goodwin score. Our Mother’s House is gorgeous Delerue. Knights of the Round Table is IMO the most purely enjoyable Rozsa album. Broken Lance is a superb dark western score by the composer of When You Wish Upon a Star. Dead Ringer is one of Andre Previn’s best (and you can hear his influence on John Williams). Some Came Running is probably my favorite jazzy Bernstein score — it really packs a punch. The Great Santini is gorgeous dramatic Bernstein. Eye of the Devil is an absolute gem by a composer who only wrote two film scores. Ben Hur if you don’t have it, obviously. None But the Brave is my favorite 60s Williams score: https://youtu.be/HPKOR84EiXc

Me too! I'm going down the list and saying to myself, "Got it, got it, got it."
Though I've purchased all the "most haves" over the years there are still some titles I'm curious about.

The 25% off is the "free shipping"!

smile Yup.

I put together a mock $150 order. It was basically like getting free shipping + $3 off , while paying full price for everything.

There are still a couple titles calling to me, but I can tune that out. Two months from now I'm sure I'll have forgotten all about 'em.

Thank for the recommendations, Yavar and Lacoq, regarding Untamed. Just ordered it along with Seventh Sin, Green Fire, and Quentin Durward.

So Williams' BLACK SUNDAY and Horner's STAR TREK III are Out Of Print now? They aren't coming back?

You had ten years to buy a copy of Star Trek III. If you didn't get round to buying a copy in all that time then you have only yourself to blame. Now, when a title at La La Land or Intrada goes out of print after only a year or two then I think people have a legitimate right to complain. But, come on, Star Trek III was available for ten years.

I was not complaining. I was asking a question.

I bought both titles in question on day of release.

OK, Jason, my apologies. But my comment is directed at anyone else complaining that Star Trek III is out of print having been available for ten years.

What's this? Star Trek III is OOP? Damn, well that's not fair, they should give fans some notice before pulling it out of circulation so soon.
