>>Christopher McQuarrie: "It is, quite simply, the kind of score they just don’t make anymore. And yet Lorne Balfe did." sure Yeah, even though I'm enjoying aspects of this new MI score, I still hear the sound stamp of The Dark Knight Rises all over this score, 11 years after its release, so no, Mr McQuarrie, this is indeed a score that has been made countless times over the last 10-15 years. And it even sounds just like Fallout! I was going to buy this anyway, but if I was on the fence, this post would have made me race to get a copy! Love TDKR and Fallout!

Saw the film. Absolutely LOVED IT!!! Brilliant stuff. EVERY aspect of the film was outstanding...the direction, the editing, the pacing, the acting, (here's the bit where I eat a mighty slice of humble pie)...even the score. I was astounded how good the music sounded, especially during the first hour or so (woodwinds...low-end piano...Herrmann style mystery). I was happy to see the full-on Lalo Schifrin credit at the opening titles, cos it is basically a Lalo Schifrin score fed through the modern machine, but it worked like gangbusters. Shame it's stumbled at the box-office, but I can't wait to see the conclusion.

Isolated Score Track on the Blu-Ray released this week... Can't recall if it's on actual Blu-Ray or the 4K Disc or both...

Great piece indeed. And despite my first lukewarm reaction last year, with a little time passing, I really enjoy this score.
