Two short cues, The Church & The Prayer, are really lovely in their religious-osity.
They make you feel holy.

Great release by the good folks from Intrada. Now if they could only continue the Rosenthal goodness and re-release his 1988 TV score from The Bourne Identity. One of THE best !!!

With its faded glory on power-save, The Power and the Glory gets excommunicated into the Danger Zone after only 4.5 months into the catechism (likely due to lack of interest - or loss of faith - from amongst the FSM congregation) before its eventual execution via firing squad.

Less than 150 enchiladas (with Greene salsa) remain to be swallowed:

Rosenthal's staying Power holds office for a little longer than The Forgotten ... or have you forgotten? smile

I hope they sold enough copies to make their spectacular restoration efforts worthwhile.

Otherwise, Jerry Goldsmith will have had to fund this one too!

I have just learned that the Paley Center copy of this film was transferred last year for the film's first-ever home video release! It hit DVD last October, and can also be streamed on Vudu. So for anyone who wants to experience the power and glory of Larry's exquisite score in its original context, you finally can!

Note: The Vudu website mistakenly pulled the description from the 1948 film PANHANDLE, but per the trailer it does seem to be THE POWER AND THE GLORY.
